Few Questions regarding housing since I recently came back.

I'm in a FC with myself and 7 Alts and I plan to buy house but had a few hiccups before I spend millions on one.

FC vs Personal any difference?. 1 of my main reasons for wanting a house is to raise my chocobo to max. If I buy a Personal house can my Alts feed it it or is this better used in FC housing.

Gardening is it viable atm to do gardening or is the profits not worth the cost?

Small Houses always seemed a bit too small to me. But is the inside of L houses much bigger then M or is the real benefit just extra garden spot and more furnishings?

Gardening can indeed make profits, I've probably recovered the 5m i spent on my house with 1 month of gardening tbh.

Large houses atm feel empty to me personally, I dont feel there is enough item limit to do what I want with one. IMO the perfect houses size atm is a medium. That may change if/when they raise the item limit.

I believe only tenents can feed chocobos so with 7 alts you would need an fc to make sure they all can feed them.

Persona houses also haven't got access to workshops so no airships for you if you go private house.

Gardening takes work to begin but once you get the initial startup, it can become very profitable with little work

The inside of a large is definitely much bigger than a medium, you'll need very good furniture spacing to make it not look hollow due to the furniture limit.

The benefit is indeed one extra garden spot, more furnishings & crafting plots/housing NPCs. A large house is mostly for it's aesthetics, 'status' and rarity.

I strongly suggest a FC house. Not only does it add the workshop option, but the house itself won't be reclaimed if the owner does enter it for 45 days. Even if it's just you in the FC with seven alts, if you ever had a friend you trusted to keep the home for you and you needed to take a break, you could invite them to the FC or even an alt of theirs, and all they need to do is enter it every 45 days to make sure you don't lose it.

There is honestly no benefit at all to personal housing, and the limitations with sharing and reclamation make it a poor choice if FC is a viable option for you. The only downside would be if your main joined another FC, then you would no longer be able to access the features of your own FC house on your main.

If your alts are on different accounts, you could set them up Tenants for your personal house, and they could use your stables to feed your chocobo. If they are on your single account, then there is no way to make them a tenant of your personal house, since you can only have people on your Friend List be tenants, and you can't add someone who is not online. It's worth noting that you can only feed your chocobo once per ~hour, and one friend can do the same, so having 7 alts won't really make a difference, since only your main and one alt could feed it.

The main advantage to getting an FC house is access to the Workshop (and private quarters). With the workshop you can create and send out airships for unique items that can be used to make minions, mounts and furnishings. Bear in mind that you'll need high level crafting to use the Workshop, and I think you also need three other crafters in the workshop at the same time in order to make certain things.

The gil cost is minimal. The time cost is the real problem. To take full advantage of gardening, you would need to keep a constant schedule of fertilizing and watering. At a minimum, you need to make sure that you're watering your plants once a day, or they die. Additionally, some of the more hard to get stuff requires crossbreeding, sometimes several times over, so it will be a long time before you see the fruits of your labor, even if you're consistently fertilizing.

I, personally, think Medium houses are the perfect size. There currently aren't enough item slots available for Large houses to really fill them up, but there's a pretty good amount of slots available to fill up a Medium. Other than slightly more item slots, you're right that the only real benefit to Large is the extra gardening plot. If you got really into gardening, having that extra plot can help, but if you're like most people, those gardening plots are going to be empty.

I am saying this for more of personal thing but since your FC is just inventory space, taking Medium plots away from FCs that have 50-100 individual people is kinda...
It's just a personal thing. I have a house on my server (Medium/Mist/FC house)...so I don't really care but you may piss people off.
There's no reason one person needs a Medium. Smalls are just fine. And yes, you and your 7 alts ARE one person.

I ended up buying a Medium FC house. (8M for the Medium compared to ~36M for the Large) I didn't see the benefits of paying for the Large. I don't know if I'll use the Airship but having the option is good aswell as chocobo feeding my Main.

I also didn't think much of buying a house could impact others. Plenty of people buy individual houses and I play on Zalera where their are still quite a few of houses for sale.

8 mil for a medium wow what a disparity in prices between servers still. My medium on Diabolos cost me 36 mil and change. Large is like 70+ mil I think
