Bottom Line Up Front: Something needs to be done about the ability to harass players with the vote dismiss feature.

Made it all the way through Void Ark and right before the last boss I got booted from the party. There are only 2 things I can think of that caused this

1st - My controller ran out of battery which caused me to not move for about 30-60 seconds while I plugged it in via USB. I think this happened on the 3rd boss, and is the closest thing to why I can imagine being kicked.

2nd - I have a macro for Shukuchi that's in Japanese "新宿てれぽーと”, which means Shinjuku teleport. Unless it means something I'm unaware of and is offensive, I really can't see this being the case.

I have been recently asking myself why I continue to play a game where my work is constantly being overwritten every time a new patch comes out. Things like spending my time going through a raid or dungeon, only to be kicked out on the last boss - all for a 60 second (no exaggeration here) afk, only serves to stoke the yearning to quit. I know I'm not the only player that has a life outside the game. Having 15-20 minutes of my time wiped away and having to spend another 20 minutes to complete it, is completely uncalled for. Please consider implementing something to prevent this from happening. It really ruins my experience.

Well... I can't read the macro so no idea what it says but vote dismiss is there for a reason. If you feel you were dismissed unfairly file a report if it bothers you that much. If you were dismissed at least 4 people wanted you gone so consider that.

I'm sorry that happened to you. But at the end of the day if they kicked you because of the battery. That isn't necessarily their fault. They could have not been paying attention to you because you were doing your job fine. Then when they see you just stand there if in battle just eating AoE's without an attempt to move. Someone might think how long has this person been leeching?

Instead of first trying to reason with you kick you after 60 seconds sounds fair to me. They don't know your circumstance.

They didn't make you run out of batteries. I suggest adapting by either getting wired, or replacing batteries a little sooner instead of waiting til they die completely.

The power was in your hands. Don't blame your party for not knowing what was going on.

First, why would you have a macro saying something that you don't even know what it says?

Second, you disappeared for 60 seconds, possibly eating AoE's, who knows, out of 8 people it's hard to determine how long you have been gone.

I would've kicked you for disappearing, I love ninja's as a job, hate ninja afk's and that is exactly what you did. I can't stand it when people disappear without simply typing afk. Sure the situation is that you weren't afk and that your battery dies, but I couldn't see that, I don't get a notification in game when your battery dies. You gotta put yourself in others shoes before complaining and see it as you disappeared without notification. 30-60 seconds or not, i would've kicked you too.

I wouldn't have kicked for the short afk, unless it was significantly longer than 30 to 60 seconds, but if that's what they kicked you for then it was completely within their rights to do so since "afk" is one of the choices given when initiating a vote kick and isn't considered vote kick abuse. This is exactly why I don't use a wireless mouse though. I've had one before and it always seemed to die suddenly and ate through batteries faster than I could keep up, even when buying them in bulk.

Did you say "sorry battery died, had to plug my controller in"? this usually makes people cool with a minor afk like that, if they even noticed you are gone at all.

If you have /p /s /sh or /emote spams, even I have initiated vote kicks for this, it can get really annoying and out of control when someone feels the need to emote or tell the entire party what they are doing at all times, it's even worse in /s or /sh, I understand rp but not all players rp and that's why they have /echo. I had a healer once with a emote and /p msg on every single action, even cures and got super defensive about immersion and rp when I asked her to shut them off...I mean come on, seriously? lol But just one that's not used often shouldn't be an issue unless you were spamming the heck outta it

They could also have been saving a spot for a buddy. I have been in pts where they kicked ppl to bring a buddy in for a final boss to get them through faster. It's a jerk move but no way to really prove it unless you know someone else in the pt and they say something after they boot you.

It could have been a FC/linkshell/Static or other pre-made group that wanted to ensure they got a specific drop. I've had it happen to me, I reported them in game.
