Why do we think about CC as something we should weave into rotation?

It's a kinda "Oh shit!" button rather than actually something that should be used on daily basis, otherwise blizzard 3 would have sleep on it, to make sure, that each good BLM is using it.

While it is too much to say that sleep, bind etc. is useless, its simply problematic and inconvenient in usage.

Is stun a CC? if yes, why paladin just not use shield bash for the life? ^ That's why lol.
In level 60 dun - iirc - sleep has no effect and i believe for a reason.
It would be probably too OP and that means it is usefull.

However in places, that sleep can be used, why people use it?
As someone mentioned already, it is becuase healer/tank had to go afk to pick up child from the floor, or to wipe the keyboard from tea they just spilled, or because they DC'd.

Cool, nice, but don't use it too often.

Crowd Control skills being useless for 90% of all content just means they streamlined the game to have little to no depth or strategy involved so people can clear content. Oh boy oh joy. May as well have the skill not exist then.
