The A and S rank hunts were never intended to be soloed. A ranks were and are intended to be killed by at the least a light party. S ranks are expected to take multiple full parties.

I've successfully tank/healer 2 manned most of the HW A ranks. The HP amounts are fine.
The A & S ranks in ARR areas were scaled for light and full parties(or more) made up of level 50 characters, level 60 characters are somewhat more powerful, power creep has already scaled those hunts down quite a bit.
