Fantasia "Unable to use that item"

It's been over a year since I've played, but I used fantasia successfully on another server. Went to an inn room, unequipped my gear, tried to use the fantasia and I get this "Unable to use that item". I've tried everything, contacted tech support many many times, all I get is a generic automated response. Help anyone?

Did you only ever try it in your inn room? You can't use it there. You have to go out of the inn room and use it.

Did you down one and never use it in the past? Go to the character login screen and check if you can edit your character.

Yeah, this. I fantasiaed the other day. No go in the inn room. Leave the inn room and no problem.

The others are right, you have to be outside of the inn room before you can pop the fantasia. This may go for personal rooms in FC houses too. I usually do it outside the door to the FC house where I have access to all of my glamour gear within a short distance so no reason why you can't use it just outside the inn room then run in if you need to make any last minute tweaks.

You'll also need to take all your gear off before it will let you access the character creation, but I think the game prompts you to do this. Not sure why it's like that because it would be nice to see what your new character design looks like in your current or chosen glams.

The INN room restriction doesn't apply to FC Houses or FC Personal Rooms (shouldn't apply to workshop either) but yea, if you were INSIDE the inn room or have anouther fantasia previously used, those are the only normal situation it would be unusable.
