My thought process usually goes with making a character appealing looking, but more rugged or with atypically attractive looks. I draw, so I love sculpting characters, but I like giving them interesting features. I also tend to a colour scheme of purple, blue, and green (based off of a pair RP characters from WoW). The heterochromia came about from the fact I couldn't pick which colour looked better, so I did both and it kind of stayed that way.

To explain it how it works for me, when my characters was a Miqo'te, I went with face 2 (the growly face) for the strong features, and a long and slightly blunt nose to add more feline features to him. I also use make-up as a way to give depth to my character's face, giving his lips colour and giving him eye shadow to create an illusion of deep set eyes. He's been called scary looking, but I love face 2.

When I switched to Au Ra, my colour scheme seemed to work best with face 1, and as much as I like face 2 and the horns I couldn't get it to work. Face 1 isn't super strong, so I stuck with the deep-set eyes from my Miqo'te and gave him the strongest nose possible (every other Au Ra with this face has soft noses, unsurprisingly). I also widened his jawline so that he didn't have such a narrow face. However, I had to give him a limbal ring for the blue eye to make it pop out over the grey sclera. He's more typically handsome, but still works.

Funny enough, the hair colour is similar to what I have: violet with streaks of deep blue and dark green. Accordingly, I switch out the highlights between blue and green, with frequent change in styles.

I just like how my Au Ri gal looks. I doubt there are greater philosophic or psychological themes behind my train of thought on this one.

He's a small version of me.

    He even has my name.

I am not a very creative person.

I based my character a bit off what I wish I looked like as well as some personal little quirks here and there.

I'm 5'8" irl so I'm pretty tall for a woman, if I were to put on heels I would be taller than my 6'0" boyfriend. I've always desired to be shorter, so I tend to have shorter characters. I also went with smallest bust size because itty bitty titty committee 4lyfe. I have a bit of a babyface irl, but Selli's is definitely a lot more prominent than mine is. Chubby cheeks are so cute~

I gave Selli grey eyes because 1) I have green eyes irl and I despise them with a passion 2) I had a grey cat for 18 years before she had a very traumatic death, so I like to keep a part of her close to me 3) grey is one of my favorite colors... probably because of said cat 4) something about darker eye colors is hypnotic to me, they're just so inviting.

I actually love my hair color irl, it's a deep and dark red. But I can never find a game that does that color justice. It's either too bright red (I don't want to look like a firetruck) or it's too brown. None of them really have the blacker tint to it that my hair color has. I'm a natural blonde so I meet myself halfway with blonde + light red = strawberry blonde.

The band-aid on the cheek is an inside joke. I've worked in restaurants my teenage years and I never went a shift without hurting myself in some way because I am horribly clumsy. They had a special box of band-aids and Polysporin just for me. XD

[EDIT] I also was very torn between going Midlander and Miqo'te. I ended up going Miqo'te because I will probably be a crazy cat lady when I have my midlife crisis as I cannot resist them ears and fluffy tail.

Most of my characters are just designed around what I think looks nice/suits their personality. My Hyur is kinda based on me...I do wish I had his body...I could easily achieve his hair irl.

I draw comics so whenever I make a character anywhere I'm always thinking about it as it's own person. I never make myself as I'm boring. I went with Miqo'te cause Tail. Seriously they were the race that stood out to me the most. I'm still and always changing things with Remy as one day red hair looks good then a month later blonde is god. For me, it's all about what I want to look at for hours, and when you give me a choice it'll ALWAYS be a cute girl. Cause you gave me choice . I just can't make a final choice on colors since my taste changes on a daily bases.

    A projection..... Kind of.

My characters will always have blue eyes and I will always opt for playing a caster with diseases/plagues.
I usually go for blonde hair as well. Also when I make characters in different games, I try to make them look alike for some reason.

I obsessively try to make a character that is attractive looking to me. I will restart hundreds of times if need be to get something right.

I could never really make a character that looks like me as my hair is the most distinctive thing about me and never really see it in any game.

Ever since the game WWF Warzone on N64 came out, I've been hooked on games that had create-a-character on it. Since then, I've rarely played another non-create-a-character game since. I've enjoyed the WWE games, Rock Band, ModNation Racers, DCUO, Soul Calibur, Fight Night, South Park, etc.

In all the games I've created characters in, there is only 1 feature that I've always had if available and that's the eyepatch. It's in honor of my favorite video game character, Sagat from Street Fighter. It's become my signature feature in my creations. As far as the rest of me, it's just whatever I like.

Well I can start by saying my character is not totally random. My char is more like a projection of what I'd like to look like, so part reality, part fantasy.
