Tips to increase my DPS? Ninja

So i decided to unlock and run Alex (all still very new to me)and my DPS was 1088 on a4 (think). It was a tank and spank fight for the most part except for the occasional target switch and my rotation was practically flawless. I have the ilvl 200 weapon. Materia are is 4 crit5, 6 determ5 and 1 accuracy5 (in my ring). So i guess im asking what could be holding my DPS back?

First off, in patch 3.2, there is no reason, aside from laziness, to not have at least a i210 eso weapon

Second, provide more information about your other gear, just saying what materias you have without context is largely useless information. If anything tell us your main stas - attack power, crit, det, etc.

Third, define what you mean by a flawless rotation. If you consider your rotation to be without fault then the low dps is solely because of your gear. But without providing more details, for example a video of your fight, people won't actually know how your rotation played out in the end. Opener, CD alignment, buff and dot upkeep, there are a lot of optimization possible depending on the fight.


Off the back of my head, a 3 min dummy parse with i200 weapon and similar other gear level should be at least 1200 for a somewhat competant nin. With i205 weapon and without gear from A3S and beyond, I do around 1350 by the end of patch 3.1. Now with a few pieces of upgraded gear and seph ex weapon at i220 I can do 1600 dps over 3 min. current stats are 1158 attack power, 1036 crit, 458 det.

I just hit 60 2 days ago. Only been playing the game for 2 1/2 weeks now. Where do i get the210 weapon? P.S. I bought the game awhile back, got to 35 in about a week and quit. Just resubbed 2 1/2 weeks ago determined on hitting level cap and did so two days ago. So i've played the game about a total of 3 1/2 weeks now.

If that i200 weapon you have is from Esoterics, just do Void Ark once to get a Machi Farthing (automatic drop just for clearing it) which then you can exchange in Idyllshire for the item to improve it to its i210 version (its a green bottle)

Based off your lodestone profile you should lvl your lancer for invigorate and mainly blood for blood, B4B is gonna be quite a large damage increase. Then you can upgrade all your eso pieces you are wearing with HQ versions by running void arc and using the turn ins for upgrade items.

Yeah so i bought 220 armour and 3 eso accessories and 1 lore accessory. Would i just upgrade the 3 accessories ? And how much DPS increase should i expect going from 200>210 weapon? And thanks for the reminder on Lancer! Someone told me about those but i forgot!

Thanks for all the help. Currently leveling lancer. I did void ark and got the 210 weapon. Any other advice i'm all ears. My gear is all Eikon Scouting 3 eso accessories and 1 primal ring i bought with 375 lore.

So you just struck lvl 60 and started collecting lores, right?

Make sure to finish Midas normal, then, the item to get the lore i230 drops from the 4th floor there, but you need 7 of them and you can only get 1 a week. The weapon also costs 1k lores, so that means you can buy 1 accesory or belt + 1 pair of gloves, shoes or hat + 1 body or legs piece before saving lores for the weapon. This way you'll have the lores for the weapon on your 6th week and get your weapon early on the 7th.

You can use the dummies in the SSS feature to check up how much you've improved your DPS with your new weapon.

not going to lie, everything about your chr is throwing red flags up for me. on topic, first thing to always remember is put your venom(s) on. second is keep huton up. you will also want to get lancer leveled like mentioned before. from there is just practice practice practice.
