I am just curious and I don't know if this was asked already but I saw a few ??? glowing (dots?) that can be interacted in game. One in a bridge around wineport and one in Gridania. It displays a message, anyone know about it?

Are you sure it's not a target for a quest you have flagged and have forgotten about? Otherwise it's probably just a placeholder target for possible future use in a quest or event that SE was meant to have dummied out but has glitched and is thus targetable. If that is the case, just ignore it as it's not really important.

I remember that sort of thing used to happen (and still does) in FFXI all the time, finding a sudden target that had nothing in it's message box and did nothing upon clicking it.

I think I dont have quest related to it, but I will double check. I also have the idea that it will be used for future quests. It is really clickable and I wonder what are their purpose

Every ??? in XI was a quest marker. They just didn't do anything if you didn't have the quest that it corresponded to.

Have you started the quest, "The Greatest Story Never Told"?

They are used in that quest line.
