Sephirot and White Magic

Even though the Warring Triad seem to have no involvement in the War of the Magi (this time), Sephirot's power as an eikon bears an uncanny resemblance to White Magic. Enough for me to actually question if the elementals, the sacred tree in the Everschade, conjury, and the art of White Magic have some connection to do with the Fiend.

Am I the only one who noticed this? I'll be watching the themes of Sophia and Zurvan for any parallels with the other schools of magic....

Nothing says some of his captured followers didn't wind up in the Shroud after the earthquake (or, since they were tree-like beings...become part of the Shroud...).

Perhaps the other sacred trees in the Shroud are actually a product of his. Would certainly make an interesting connection between the strength of the Elementals in that region and the Eikon Sephirot.

Great, now we can speculate that the Black Shorud is the result of an allagan experiment. Another thing to the answer bag of: " the allags did it"

I just finally did Sephirot for the first time and he didn't make me think of white magic at all. He screams of Conjury, yes, but white magic? And it is stated in the quest text that he was a sacred tree brought to life as an eikon by his followers, so it wouldn't surprise me if that sacred tree from Meracydia has some relation to the hedge trees from the Black Shroud.

Li've been thinking latly that the "Tree Like Race" that worshiped Sephirot may have resembled the Guado of FF10.

I'm surprised no one else has mentioned the Father Tree from Churning Mists yet. The sightseeing log entry for it claims it predates Man and Dragon, and it looks almost identical to the Sephirot Sapling housing item you can get from the Sephirot trial.

I just checked, and the log entry suggests it predates the Dragonsong War, not dragons and man themselves.
