Still doesn't answer why giving people who don't enjoy crafting this option is a bad thing. You only need the appropriate crafters to lv50, and need one inventory slot for a stack of Grade 6 Darkmatter.
There is no inventory concern, and leveling a crafter to 50 doesn't take a ton of time, especially compared to the convenience you get being able to repair up to 199% whenever you see your gear go below 100% (which also gives a ton of extra time to notice its breaking).

Because, again, it is, in this game, a feature exclusive to crafters, and again, if you don't want to bother leveling them, then you don't get to use it. It's not hard to understand.

Still doesn't answer anything :/
Crafters would benefit from this too you know. Some people deem an inventory slot more valuable than 2k gil or whatever the cost of your repair would be. If you happen to not have any darkmatter with you but forget to repair, there you go as well.
Dungeons are not where people go when they have "crafter advantages" in mind.

To be honest, it's people like you that are slowly trying to remove any perks and/or benefits that leveling DoH has. I mean this by you want to remove the perk of being able to repair your gear in a dungeon, someone else wants to make it so NPCs can meld materia onto gear. All of these requests keep popping up and while any one by itself is nothing, combine them all together and you now have a lot of the bonuses to leveling DoH removed from the game purely because not everyone wants to level DoH.
You don't think people who only have fun with combat having to rely on crafters/crafting is a bad thing? Tying the two in directly with each other is unnecessarily inconvenient to some people, myself included. To be honest, it's people like you that are slowly trying to remove any perks and/or benefits that leveling DoH has. If you think inconveniencing us and neglecting a QoL improvement everyone could benefit from, including crafters, is the only way to maintain the worthwhile perks and benefits of DoH classes....then maybe the crafting system needs to be revamped.

I'm sorry, but how is not being able to repair in a dungeon making people reliant on crafters and how does it affect the fun you have with combat? You are making less and less sense.
Ok, so, you have explicitly stated that you do not enjoy crafting, do not want to level crafters, but want a revamp of the crafting system because you can't be bothered to remember repairing your gear before queuing for a dungeon? If you think inconveniencing us and neglecting a QoL improvement everyone could benefit from, including crafters, is the only way to maintain the worthwhile perks and benefits of DoH classes....then maybe the crafting system needs to be revamped.
Sorry to put this harshly, but your opinion on this cannot be taken seriously, and you should stop making unreasonable demands. I'm out of this thread.

If you don't enjoy crafting pay someone to make the HQ mats for the leves. Problem solved
If this was possible I know their would be many party's I would not return to.
Not about entitled I don't think it is needed. We have a repair npc in every zone and most a few steps away from where everyone hangs out. People also have the option of having one in an apartment.I still don't see what the problem with having a repair NPC at the entrance of a dungeon. There is nothing entitled about it. I don't have problem when it comes to repairing but having that in a dungeon won't change anything. It's just there in case someone forgets. I guess this community just thinks anything convenient is entitled now.
I would find it just as much of an annoyance getting to last boss and the player saying gear is broke I need to walk back to start of dungeon.

The way this thread seems to be is that since X MMO does it a certain way this game should to cause all MMOs should work the same way. If you don't want to level any crafting jobs maybe be more mindful of your gear durability.
