    Repair NPCs in Dungeons

    Can we have this please?

The last MMO I played had this and it was a godsend. There are literally no drawbacks to having this.

I'm really tired of having to abandon dungeons because I forget to repair, and having the same thing happen with other people.

You can already repair in dungeons, all you need is the appropriate crafters for your gear leveled to 50 (and some Dark Matter).

Unnecessary inconveniences. Not everyone crafts, and many of us already have crammed inventories.

Nope, a good reason to level crafters. If you don't want to do that, then off to the repair NPC you go. Outside the dungeon.

Why must it be like that though? Just because?

I can think of no good reason to have it that way than just to annoy players.

Not to mention, you can have other players who choose not to craft ruin YOUR run. Ever had a tank go in who forgot to repair and had to leave, only for the rest of the group to wait around for a replacement that never comes?

Because, again, it's a good reason to level crafters, and makes them relevant beyond just crafting gear and consumables.

Just because you are annoyed by crafting doesn't mean others are, and those who have invested in leveling their crafters get to enjoy the benefits. If you don't want to level crafters, then better learn to watch your durability more closely. It's not like this is 1.x where you needed crafters to repair your gear.

Thinking ahead of time is annoying? I do not really care if they change it or not, but having such a change just tells me it is again catering to people that have no foresight.

Even then it would take hours, and the solution is still solved by parking your rear derriere next to a mender before you queue. If you're that hurting for on-the-go repairs, then you should actually invest in the system that already exists instead of making crafters even more irrelevant than they already are.
They could let players repair others gear, no idea why it was taken out in the first place. It should be like 1.0, skyhigh mender NPC prices after level 10 to give reason for crafters to exist, same goes for the materia NPC, I was infuriated when that was released and I got no clue why it was. Make gil mean something, make crafting really mean something, why is this so hard of a concept for 2.0+?

Agree, with this. If they put repair NPCs inside dungeons, they'd might as well just remove the durability all together. If someone doesn't want to level their crafts to repair their own gear in dungeons, they need to learn to be mindful of the status of their gear and repair it before queueing up.

You do realize that durability is there as a way to remove gil from the economy, correct?

That's exactly what a dungeon NPC's purpose would fulfill. That's why we have NPCs outside of dungeons too....

I understand that lots of people enjoy unnecessary and purposeless inconvenience, but I'll never understand why exactly.

The last MMO I played used durability in the same way, and it worked just as well in dungeons as out of dungeons.

Doesn't even need to be level 50, level 40 and you can repair.

@OP its not hard to get crafters to 40 plus you only need Weaver Leatherwork Armorer Blacksmith Goldsmith ( only some depending on the jobs you play )

    "Not everyone crafts"

All you have to do is turn in 1 items for each job everyday at your GC and you'll be 40 in a few weeks. You don't even need to do the job quests to unlock repair. You never need to craft to level crafting lol!

Any moment now it will be revealed that WHM is cheating on SCH with MNK after having had DRG's baby and DRG is WHM's cousin who is already married to PLD.
