Bard in the party... thoughts?

Why would u expect BRD to have the same kit as MCH? They re 2 diff class, the only thing they have in common re they both restore mp/tp, They re both useful for their own kit.

Did you forget brd also has cross class with Lancer and puglist which mean u can take *feint* for extra slow and *mantra* for extra healing boost which is extremely useful. Maybe Midan doesn't favor brd right now but brd is still welcome as long you know what you doing. As for statics that wanted a MCH it's their opinions, I seen many statics welcome to take BRD too.

Foe requiem is a WONDERFUL skill it just the game doesnt have enough magic dps class right now to make it more useful and honestly in the end if you don't like the class then it's best for you to switch to another, there re still a lot of players out there that like Brd alot (again they hold the most player based in the game for a *reason*).

I can also argue with you that with a magic group comp brd is more useful because foe can last for atleast 30s with only HALF mana being used (it could last up to almost 1 whole minute if you drain your mana empty) while turret only last for 10-20s plus with battle voice foe increase by 20% so brd gain so much dmg for any magical class in party, again it's all about group composition and the game doesn't have many magical dps class yet to make it more useful.

Slow is just for cast speed, heavy is for speed movement reduction.

Hypercharge buff has 20 seconds duration, but Physical/Magic Vulnerability is up for ~29 seconds.

yes i know, am just pointing out what BRD kits are, like i mentioned their kits are "good" to support their group.

ehhh i KNOW about 20s duration but i am NOT sure about physical/magic vulnerability? am assuming you mean increase magic/physical dmg taken? if that the case its only last for 10s with HYPERCHARGE up according to this Wikia, even if it does last for 30s FOE still last a bit longer +BV which is better for magicals while mch is better for physicals.

Hypercharge last for 20 seconds, its a buff on your current turret, and every attack of your turret will apply a Physical (Rook) or Magical (Bishop) vulnerability for 10 seconds on the target refreshing the effect with every attack (Bishop turret does AoE attacks and apply the debuff to multiple targets), making this debuff duration around 29 or 30 seconds.

u dont base on lodestone lol, you just get on the server and do ur research on the server and if you feel like it search on every servers and compare. inside game pretty much tell you which class has the most player base.

yeah just learned about that through a friend but still i believe foe last longer and more powerful with BV so it works better with magic comps.

That means nothing...you should not write things like "BRD is the most popular job" if you are using a very bad way to check it...tbh it's a pretty stupid way to check what is the most popular job...

thats EXACTLY my point, thank you so much!!! beside this is a bit OUT DATED but since its 2015 still works
so acording to that list BRD still one of the most popular class TOP 3 of all the dps class: BLM> BRD=DRAG> SMN > MNK > NNJ > MCH. Even this year i believe its the same TOP 3. The reason why i even mention wether its popular or not if you read the previous post where people said BRD players had left the class which is TRUE but NOT "everyone" left the class, they hated the class but they still tried get used to this new changes and btw i think one of my past PAST PAST previous post i mentioned "one of the most player base on dps". i just stopped saying that because... assuming am talking to the "same" people. but yes next time i should make myself clear so it doesnt confuses people like you.
