Region Locking servers to stop RMT?

Sure, there the exceptionally rare RMT that pops up, however, it is almost non-existent because of the IP block above, in my time playing TERA (roughly a year) I saw exactly one RMT that managed to get through and they were gone within minutes and never came back. That's significantly better than the current situation this game has.,

Most people on FFXIV are not willing to sacrifice playing with their friends and their server for the sake of stopping RMT's when they can simply turn on /busy or block /tells and remove the problem for themselves.

I know I would personally quit the game if I no longer could play with my boyfriend for the sake of not getting spam.
