Sounds cuts out while playing.

So as the title says, my sound for the game just randomly stops. The only way to fix it is by closing the game to my desktop and reloading the game. Sometimes the sound lasts 20 minutes, sometimes hours, rarely it never cuts out, any thoughts?

I've been having this problem recently as well, roughly since this weeks patch. Sometimes the game will outright crash right after the sound cuts out.

This has happened to me on occasion, albeit very rarely. The first time was a number of months ago though, I believe.

Well, that's good that it's not just me. I posted this in bugs because it only happened in this game, nowhere else, and I've ran tougher games on this computer, but they quickly moved it to not a bug. But it only happens in their game... Anyways tried doing some research, found a ton of similar complaints, no solutions. No idea who to contact about it either.

Finally, I think I found a fix... Not 100% sure... However my headphones were plugged in via usb, so what I did was went into my computers power options under advanced into USB and disabled the usb selective suspend setting, so far game works fine, although this whole event was random there is no way to tell if it actually worked or not unless it never happens again. But I will report if this issue occurs again. Bomb and Khanali I recommend you 2 doing exactly what I did if you sound is powered via usb.

Last update from me, I finally fixed the problem. The problem was my CPU. Apparently the fan on it was only half way plugged in, it tilted a little, causing the processor to get too hot, I didn't notice this was going on as my processor is supposed to notify me when it reach 42C and when the sound cut out I looked and the processor was at 45C. So i unplugged the fan re set it properly, and i haven't had this problem since.
