Healer queues taking longer than usual?

Just about everything is instant when I go Warrior, from Midas to Trials including mentor roulette which is solo queue only, and sometimes throws me in a Expert Roulette dungeon if it's not an ARR extreme primal that someone says they have been waiting a long time for. Slowest tank queue is always going to be Void Park, since it has the limited amount of roles but that is usually 10 minutes tops if solo and not full pre-form.

I would even say Expert Roulette isn't such a very high demand late in the cap week. As there are plenty of ways to cap with current content from repeat Midas runs, Seph Extreme, PvP, beast tribes, etc. Then you also have being able to fully preform for the other roulettes now like Trials, and we do that a lot. Mentor roulette tries to plug these holes though even if there is no one new to an instance. But that has been my experience as I try to do multiple times a day.

There are no accurate answer to this unless we know what everyone is doing at specific (exact) time. Maybe people just play different content, but it requires more people to fill DPS role than a Healer. So, it's usually easier to go as DPS, but again, it depends. SE made it so that there is a reason to run old dungeons. Player base pretty much split up.

Ironically, I got Wanderer's Palace HM last night in roulette as a SCH. All of the party were lvl60 & not first timers. I don't recall anyone doing it for their Relic either. The DF is bizarre.

It took me 40 minutes today to get into MSQ Roulette as SCH. Level 50 roulette went a bit faster but still not sub-20 minutes.

I has crazy wait times last night to get into any Midas duty when queued as a solo SCH. It would say, for example, "waiting time 9m" but 25/30min later it still didn't pop. However, I queued with a BLM friend & queue times were shorter & we got in after 5-9min. Not only that, but we got into the "reserved queue" almost instantly & were just waiting for the tanks. I never even saw the reserved queue on solo SCH.

There's definitely something wrong because almost all roulette & raids are taking at least 20 minutes *more* than the estimated time as a healer.

If lot of people stopped playing tanks, and they'd distribute evenly among dps and healer, that'd still hit harder the healer queues since there is half of the spots for them comparing to dps.

I havent really noticed much change in healer queues here on Phoenix. Occasionally it feels a bit longer but generally doesnt go above the usual max of 5-10 min.

I have noticed the dps queues have gotten significantly faster though, which is great

Defiantly a change on Ultros for the healer queue. On a positive not I can level other jobs while I wait now lol.

To Illustrate, here is a gross simplification:
Original Player Pool:
100 Tanks
120 Healers
300 DPS

100 parties can be made. 20 healers Waiting. 100 DPS waiting. No Tanks waiting.

Half the tanks leave and go evenly to Healers & DPS

New Player Pool
50 Tank (-50)
145 healers (+25)
325 DPS (+25)

50 Parties can be made. 95 Healers are waiting. 225 DPS are waiting.

The pool of waiting healers is close to 5 times bigger. While the DPS pool has only about doubled. Granted matchmaking is more complicated than this and the healer/DPS excess disparity probably isn't quite that huge (though this would make things worse, not better for healers post-exodus). But you can see that an exodus of tanks to other roles will always disproportionately affect the healer population unless they skew heavily DPS.
