Healer queues taking longer than usual?

Not sure why, but ever since 3.2 dropped, I've been getting instant queues for pretty much everything as a tank or dps... but never as a healer. Expert or Midas take like 20 minutes to pop, whereas I can go as a DPS or tank and get near instant queues. Anyone else noticing the same things or am I just going crazy?

I can't imagine this would affect current queue times. More likely is that just the composition of the DF has changed. It's possible that the recent exodus of FoTM tank players may have increased the relative healer population. Really though just about anything is pure speculation.

The healer queue has gone up since the patch hit. I believe they did adjust how Duty Finders search and match players together and that would be another factor to some of the delays healers are experiencing on top of what's been listed here. The only real time I get instant queue's on healer is when I'm going for Trial DR and I feel queuing for DPS (especially for Midas normal) to be faster.

...now if I only I can drum up the courage to trust a random DF Healer and queue on something other than healer. lol

That would be true assuming an equal distribution of tanks moving to queue as healers AND DPS. The current queue situation has <30 second waits for DPS and upwards of 15 minute waits for healers. I've been testing this off and on since 3.2 since I noticed the stark change

Assuming a tank exodus, this would only happen if every single tank is queuing as a healer instead, which is highly unlikely. A more reasonable explanation is a change in the sorting algorithm; one that bumped healers down the list to have the lowest priority when being matched. It's a good time to play a DPS.

I've noticed the same on Leviathan. It's getting to be an annoyance now trying to queue for anything, be it roulette or a specific duty. I queued for the 4 Midas raids last night & although it said 5min or so I waited 20 minutes & didn't get a pop so gave up. Expert Roulette took about 15 minutes, which is unheard of & is unusually long even during UK daytime (morning in the USA). It only started like this since 3.21 in my experience. Thing is, it can't be due to The Feast as that's got quite long queues too!

Healer queues for level 60 content have been getting longer quite steadily for me since maybe 3.1?

I always had to wait a relatively long time for Void Ark, while it has always been instant or close to instant as DPS.

I've honestly been wondering if Heavensward didn't complicate DPS rotations so much that some players gave up on DPS roles for more casual content, as it's a lot easier to get carried through content while watching Netflix as a healer.

I personally know DPS players who run dungeons with Medica-wait-Medica macros so they can watch TV, so...

I haven't noticed a change for DPS, tbh. Healer queues are indeed longer, whether solo or with a partially pre-formed party (I tend to play with my gf, she plays a ton of WHM lately).

As a tank though (which I dislike playing even though I've got a lvl60 DRK)...

That's insta-pop for pretty much everything.
