Big Fish or Collectables?

Should I go after collectables to get scrip or big fish?

I have few questions that might help me decide
- Do big fish sell on MB?
- What can I do with big fish?

They don't sell too well, at least on my server. Certainly because players think it's smart to set an expensive price.

There are a few kinds of fish that will always sell a bit though :

Retribution Staff (In Diadem)
Urchins (2 different kinds) in Coerthas
Mogpoms (to craft Dissolvent of Mind). They're a 100% catch, in churning Mists.
Sweetfish (in Dravania Hinterlands)
Pipira Piras (in Dravanian Forelands)
Coerthan Oysters (Coerthas)
Fanged Clams (Coerthas - same spot as the oysters)
Rock Mussels (Dravanian Forelands)
Coerthan Crab (Coerthas)

Those are the most important ones that I can think of. Their price may vary from a server to another.

almost all of the big fish have no practical use. to catch all the big fish is just a challenge and to complete the fishing log is a nice side content for fisher. with the culinairan desynthesis you can get some exclusive items from a few of the big fish, like the minion from Ninja Betta, and the blue and red bikinis, but that's just like 12 big fish in the end wich you can desynth for something usefull, the only usefull thing you can do with the 100 other big fish is lvling your culinarian desynthesis from 70 to 100.

i compare the fisher often with a battle class: raiding has no practical use other than the raiding itself. it's the same thing with catching the big fish.


if you want to make money going for collectables and reduce them is a good choice. the aethersand sells better than any fish and you can also get water clusters.

Pteranodon is the best fish for dawnborne aethersand, but it will only give you ice clusters.

Most big fish can be sold on the MB. The best use for them is leveling CUL desynthsis. Some desynth into stuff that sells like the assassin fry or swimsuits. Most don't desynth to anything really salable compared to the effort involved in catching them.

Other than that to complete your fish log, for two titles, for the challenge.
