has anyone else notice a drop in healer dps in a5s (currently not cleared it yet) , i have dropped to a just over 600 despite an increase in my gear ? is it the new accuracy caps holding me back or something else?

Also when the boss goes big there is a damage decrease iirc.

Less damage when boss is big, recapping your accuracy, and, if you're me, you're stuck doing all the bomb/puddle-spawning duty as SCH as well.

Being able to actually bane in the fight helps your numbers regardless though.

You need 550 accuracy or so as mage/healer to not miss (free materia slots though <3) and as Kaisha points out as the one handling mechanic with puddles, bombs and maybe shield the prey you lose DPS uptime. Depending on how XP/skilled the mainheal is you also support during Shock Therapies.
If you want to see pure DPS use Hummelfaust as reference. I can easily pull 900 there with swapping out of stance for the Panzerschreck.

thanks for the posts , yeah im currently only sat on 417 accuracy , my aero likes to miss 7/10 not so sure about my other non guarenteed hitters but i imagine itll be riddled with misses (i spend most of any fight with one eye on party list incase i need to stance swap n the other on the boss/mobs looking for tankbusters ect) i have some overmelding to do so will obviously be stacking accuracy n hopefully that helps ^^
