Back after almost 2 years... Completely stupid me.

So as the title says I'm back afte ralmost 2 years, decided to start fresh and work my way up again, got whm, just got level 50 today, and then I did the dumbest thing I have ever done as a healer.... And caused my first group wipe since I came back.

So I decided to tackle aurumn vale, before entering the zone i was soloing like a mad man trying to get this endless story quest done, bam queue pops.

So I go in, first pull the tank pulled 2 groups, heal after heal after heal i finally ran out of mana and just couldn't get his hp up lol... Then I looked up and cleric stance was up... I wanted to go jump off a cliff lol. Anyways, guess I'm doing pretty good so far, considering my first group wipe wasn't until 50.

I still gotta buy the expac, maybe tomorrow... Anyone else got noob moments to share?

I've done that so many times lol. It happens most when I lag a lot and CS doesn't activate properly. Usually I notice in time but once I "got out of sync" with stance dancing and healed with CS on and dps'd without it. It went on quite a while and I hope nobody noticed... Essential Dignity (AST) is godsend for fixing my own stupid. Another mistake I've made a few times is forgetting to put tank back as focus target when it clears mid dungeon, and healing myself. Oh and forgetting Sects (Astrologian stance).

By the way, you may not be aware that you have to finish the level 50 Main Scenario before being able to enter Heavensward content. This is because the stories are linked and the reason we access Ishgard is given in the ARR finale. So you don't need to rush with getting the expansion just yet. Although if you want to gain xp from all the level 50 content the expac is required for that.

Omg, I can't tell you how many times I forget that I am on cleric stance and healing ><

I have the exact oposite. I zone into a dungeon and go DPS mode without Cleric Stance not active. When I do need to drop a heal I activate it. I tend to notice this after the first heal, because it really lacks any potency.

I'll share one of my noobiest moments.
When I solo I change my hotbar 1 (healing spells) to hotbar 3 (attack spells). I had just gotten into PvP with Duty Finder and completely forgot to change it back.
I was running around for the first couple of minutes wondering why I wasn't casting any healing spells at all.

I was about to start a thread talking about my troubles with the cleric dance. I'm constantly reminded by tanks it's on, and I'm like "NO IT ISN'...." ...DAMN IT!

I'm getting better, and a tank has yet to drop on me because of it, but that's not the point. The reduction in MP efficiency is massive. Thank goodness I'm not the only one. It makes me feel like such a sucky healer. It's not an issue when I play sch due to needing to switch less. Just me whm

I always apologize, and most have been pretty cool about it and tell me to not put so much pressure on myself to dps. Its also not a problem when I solo. Only in groups. You know? When it really counts :/
