I believe once 1.20 hits and we have a price history and semi-AH/market hybrid, the wild prices you see in the markets will lower and stabilize, as players will be able to (hopefully) set up sales more easily, have a price history to go on, and people tend to undercut each-other.

So, the argument that "high transportation prices will inflate market ward item prices" will be invalid come 1.20 (hopefully).
