AF armor?

I'm a 50 glad, and have the 49 red gear. All full of decent/good materia. And now I decided to start hunting for sentinel gear. Got the boots, which are nice...however I've had a lack of motivation to get the rest.

The reason is, after playing FFXI for so long, I have it in my head there is going to be AF gear like Paladin for my 50 glad anyways, so why bother? Yeah its in a few months, but my gear can hold out till then.

This thread isn't about holding off gear till the update, but more on the idea of AF armor itself. Anyone else looking forward to Job only armor? What do you think it'll be like?

I think it's worth noting that AF armor is supposed to be Job specific, meaning you can't wear PLD AF on GLA. So by all means, go finish that Sentinel set.

Exactly. If SE does this right, you won't be PLD 24/7, so having gear that GLA can still use is certainly a good thing.

As many as it takes to fulfill each role your class/job is meant to have.

Edit: Or as many as it takes for each role you choose to fill.

Once the mannequin system comes out, equippable gear you have assigned to a job/class won't take up inventory space.

It's not unlimited though, you start off with 1 mannequin and gain more through doing quests, I doubt we will get more than 7.
