There *is* a flying turtle that predates the Adamantoise mount. The Legendary Fish Stupendemys. It's a flying turtle from Azys Lla. There are also flying slugs, flying bivalves, cloud corals, the list goes on...On flying Fenrir: Does seem a bit much, but also makes some sense since Adamantoise is also now flyable. Not sure where that stands in myth though (atleast some turtles have flying capabilities in certain myths.) Regardless I'd say go for it anyways unless there are certain glamours you really want as well that you don't have.
So flying anythings and everythings are just peachy!

Its a pretend world, filled with pretend things...I think any and every mount should fly.
Its not real, there is no "logic" that needs to be upheld.
Relax, have fun, its all just a game! I hope he does fly eventually, I don't own one, but for those that do..oh yes fly and be free!!
♥ MORE HIGH HEELS + INSTANCED HOUSING! ♥!
Using that logic, why have mounts at all? Why don't we just fly? In fact, why don't we just teleport anywhere on any map instantaneously. Even in a make believe world you still need some semblance of laws and reality.Its a pretend world, filled with pretend things...I think any and every mount should fly.

I could use the exact same points you put here to justify adding anything I wanted to the game lol.Its a pretend world, filled with pretend things...I think any and every mount should fly.

the bgm which fenrir actually has really sucks, its the boring 0815-gobbue-oriental-bgm
I would use it more often, but even the twintania bgm (which is also bad) is still better

Fenrir flew in FFXI, why not FFXIV?

Fenrir was a bike in Advent Children, why not tie wheels on him?Fenrir flew in FFXI, why not FFXIV?

The logic should be while the 200K turtle can fly, howcome the 1M wolf cannot fly?
It even should be able to fly faster than other mounts! ^^;

The thing is that most peoples' arguments seem to be that they want to reap absolute maximum value out of their purchase even if it was introduced as a 2.0 mount. Following the same logic, I should demand the same of Sleipnir being that I paid real money for it, but honestly I don't want that. My personal opinion and preferences are just that, personal, albeit a lot of people seem to share the same or a similar sentiment. Frankly, I like the idea of people not forgetting that grounds mounts actually exist, even in 3.0 areas, and I hope that not every single person I ever see travelling via that method is simply someone who hasn't unlocked all currents yet. Flying is incredibly convenient, but frankly I like the aesthetic of seeing people utilising both forms of travel, not just the lazy man's way. I'd still favour a weather element that actually makes flying more difficult and possibly even slower than ground travel in certain areas now and then, just for the sake of encouraging different styles of travel(though it must be said I am also the type of person who would like to see people equip cloaks during rainfall too). I get that Fenrir might be the favourite mount of some people, but surely you had another favourite before him that also flies? That way you can use both and mix it up a little!
Anyways, that was the gist of my personal reasoning at least.
