Monks can remove stacks of aetherflow with one llm punch & can spam a silence less than second cd. It's ridiculous!

I'm pretty sure a monk GCD isn't less than 1 second but ok
i was exaggerating lol but it is a second or 2.

He's not exaggerating but we can't do both. Can't one ilm punch every 2-4 seconds and Arm of destroyer at the same time cept during PB, and thats about 6-16seconds every 90-180 seconds.
Using One ilm punch and AoTD like that would be a waste honestly.
Outside of PB AoTD can only be done every 6 seconds.
One Ilm Punch however can be done every 4-6 seconds
GL3 is of course required for the short times. It'd take much longer outside of GL3

Le Luke, played against you earlier today. Serious talk time: use your Aetherflow stacks more liberally. Don't hold onto them.
You'd have people on your team at 60% HP or lower and not use your Aetherflow stacks. You'd have stacks for 15 seconds + with people low HP, still trying to adlo them instead of using your stacks, so of course you're going to lose em.
That said, SCH needs a buff. Do that before doing anything with One Ilm.

Pretty much agreed with Koltik. The problem isn't One ilm punch. The problem is scholar.

Pretty sure it might get "changed" if enough people complain
thank you for the tips dude, will do. I just came back to the game after a year so its good to be told how to improve. Instead of having toxic teammates lolLe Luke, played against you earlier today. Serious talk time: use your Aetherflow stacks more liberally. Don't hold onto them.

You can also cover your stacks with other buffs. Defense is ignored in pvp so Protect actually serves no other purpose than 1-ilm/wither/retrograde fodder, same with fey covenent. If the RDPS is physical obviously focalization isnt gonna do much so then theres that. Failing that you could use emergency tactic or deployment tactics'ed e4e. Im sure theres others (does it remove shadow flare/sacred soil? that would be kinda hilarious). But yeah, Ive only rarely seen it used effectively (lately been seeing it used ineffectively much more tho xD). Anyways if you're up against a monk thats good enough to pull it off you're probably screwed anyways, because lolsch (not really xD but its def an uphill battle. sch got it pretty rough in feast compared to ast/whm).
A little off topic but Im really curious if anyone knows. When 1-ilm/wither/retro removes a shield effect (galvanize, noct shield, stoneskin) is the damage calculated before or after the shield is removed?
Like lets say your target somehow has 1 hp and a 10k galvanize on him, will it go:
Damage -> absorb -> remove galvanize -> target lives
or
remove galvanize -> damage -> target dies
My hunch is that its the former but never really been able to confirm so not sure
