Purify can be used on other targets other than yourself, and that can also be done while you yourself are disabled. You might be targetting someone else with your purify instead of self.

I considered this but I really don't think it's the issue since it's most notable when I am caught alone and attempting to make a retreat. Plus it'd be oddly convenient that this has never happened with any other enfeeblement, especially before Paean was revamped.
