Sleep Annoying

So... how the hell? I'm playing WHM and instantly get slept. I hit purify and then INSTA slept again. How the heck is this happening? Very annoying. :/

WHMs and BLMs can use sleep so if the enemy team has both classes, you're gonna have a rough time.

A WHM complaining about the sleep status?...

Whatever the case, if you have a BRD in your team, remind him/her that Warden's Paean is actually a skill that they can use.
If not, just ask everyone to gather around you so you're more likely to get hit by an AoE.

Remember to Medica II/Regen everyone before engaging.

Keep an eye on the enemy player casting sleep on you. If he does it constantly, just wait for an opening to purify and throw an Assize/Asylum. It should be enough for your teammates to survive, especially if one enemy is dedicated to put you to sleep.

I dunno but once I'm down as the healer one of my mates always dies FAST. Good point about the Bard ability we'll try that configuration.

Um, maybe you're referring to an actual bug? I am like 95% certain that Purify sometimes doesn't remove the Sleep debuff. You perform the Purify animation but you go straight back to sleeping as if it didn't do anything at all. I've only ever experienced this with Sleep status though and it's a bit rare I think, albeit perhaps you were actually hit by it twice. Did you hear the sedation sound effect reoccurring?

Purify can be used on other targets other than yourself, and that can also be done while you yourself are disabled. You might be targetting someone else with your purify instead of self.

I considered this but I really don't think it's the issue since it's most notable when I am caught alone and attempting to make a retreat. Plus it'd be oddly convenient that this has never happened with any other enfeeblement, especially before Paean was revamped.

Blm can insta-sleep X 2 with night wing and swift cast sleep. Though that's pretty silly waste of swift cast, standard sleep *wait purify* swift cast thunder III nightwing
