FFXIV moved away from auto-attack while WOW went without... how odd.

Blade and Soul isnt mind numbing 11111221212 system.

Cant talk about GW2 or TERA though cause I dont really follow them.

People assume there are two types of combat systems: FFXi and FFXIV.

But there's more possibilities out there.

Tera is spamming basic attacks then special attacks when cooldowns are up. That's it. There's a bit more to it depending on your class, but it's all down to:

1. Spam basic attack
2. Use special attacks
(2a. Charge special attack)
(2b. "stack" special attack)
(2c. Adjust targeting and use special attack)

It's basically what XIV's original stamina system was without the stamina and ability to target parts outside of incaps.
