Blizzard has MMORPG experience that I'm sure every developer would dream of having. Blizzard has more money, more resources, more... everything.

Plus, they displayed some doubt in the system of no auto attack and if you remember from last year's Blizzcon, less than half of the features they announced made it into the game at all. I don't see them sticking with the no auto attack, but if they do, good luck to them, I'm sure they could make it work just because they are Blizzard, they can make anything work. And if it doesn't, the life of their game doesn't hang in the balance, like FFXIV's did.

The experience and money that Blizzard has is nice and all, but what's really making WOW succeed so hard is Blizzard not having totally clueless and unresponsive team leaders like Tanaka. If they see customers complain about a feature, or if they realize that a feature is too hard to implement for too little benefit, they chuck it out. They also look at what other MMOs are doing and incorporate it into their own if it makes sense.

Thankfully, Yoshida is doing the same. Now if only we had him from the start...

The no auto attack is only for that one new class for your information. All other classes would still have it, just doing something new and different with a new class that hasn't been done before in their game. SO no they are not doing away with auto attack, like I said just for one class.
