FFXIV moved away from auto-attack while WOW went without... how odd.

huh, I guess you're right. I just looked for the poll questions, and sure enough there wasn't one regarding auto-attack. I do remember the playerbase asking for it around the same time however. From what I remember, most were for auto-attack.

Love people are still bitching like they're going to change us back to action based moves. Don't you guys every get tired of wasting your energy on the internet arguing about things no one really cares about since they won't get changed? Play more XIV, read a book, do something productive for a change. I check these forums in the morning and in the night, for the last couple weeks really nothing but excessive whiny bitching from everywhere. Worse than before, which I didn't think could happen. Hate to see the forums when they change THM/CNJ :/ its gonna get ugly obviously.

I hate to admit it but this is true, I don't get why people complain about everything, why not enjoy the game as it is? I guess its the price that SE have to pay for trying to listen to the community. With good things always come bad things.

I hope they get rid of it. Combat seems less strategic for certain classes because of this and auto attack for some classes seem stupid, imo (archers and conjurers for example). I'd rather they work on servers to increase the response time, THEN get rid of it...and allow us to stack actions and have them executed when there is enough stamina for them >_>

Well, if it is a choice between what XIV has now with autoattack and how combat was before, I will gladly take the current auto-attack implementation over the ADD Button mash fest it used to be.

If they wanna rip autoattack out for 2.0, fine, just make sure the system that replaces it works and isn't anything like XIV pre 1.18.
