Crafting and signing

Earlier today I was listing something I made at the AH, when I noticed I recognised the name of my competition. Now I recently transferred server from ragnarok to Gilgamesh and seeing this name on both items I was wearing from ragnarok and the same name on Gilgamesh surprised me especially as it is a unique name. I lodestoned the name out of curiosity and found the same name on every server on most including my own he never had a job over 17. my question is this does lodestone not update the characters anymore or how is it possible to sign your name to a piece of equipment you haven't made

The crafter signature should be invisible on the market board till the a player adquieres the item... But hey,we have the most primitive market board in the current MMORPG market.

I've always been able to see who the maker is before buying...

I mean. It doesn't matter to me one way or the other; I never pay attention to who makes the item.

I have to ask, why? I've never seen anybody complain about this until now. FFXIV's market isn't all too bad, at least in comparison to Black Desert.

I want to know what a piece of gear is going to say before I buy it. There have been several cases where I wouldn't buy an item because I found the name obnoxious enough that I wouldn't want to see it on my character's gear. We shouldn't have to pay for an item before we can find out whether it's a piece we'd want to use or not.

Plenty of complaints have been raised about XIV's market system. A few that I can think of off hand would be the following:

-Seller'sCrafter's name listed on crafted items - can have people harass you over listed prices, whether or not you are the one who listed it or not
-No way to buy partial stacks
-No listing fee which means people can baby sit items and adjust prices as much as they want with no penalty
-No way to place buy orders

I'm sure there are other things, others can chime in as they like Also, it is never a good tactic to try and defend something by claiming "It can always be worse!"

If the item you sell is actually made by you. I re-sold quite a few items made by someone else because I simply didn't need them in the rather large quantity they sold them at. It was still their name that showed up, not mine.

And, uh...if I couldn't see the signature on the crafted item, I'd like to have it removed entirely when it goes over the MB >_> I'm the kind of buyer who'd rather shell out a few more gil than wear something that has the name on it I do not like for one reason or the other.
