Nice job on the 1st picture.
This a question for you Fenral
To your favourite Miqote character.
Do you think that there was a cross breed on his tree line? That in some point an hyur ( he/she having the allagan descendation ) have a child with a miqote, then eventually the miqote characteristics were full restablish over time during generations ?
Or that ancestor that was with Salina, was a Miqote ?

The Eorzean society is very open, compared to our real world. However that's not to say they might condemn these things. I don't think you can get an answer that isn't a shot in poor lighting.
I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest two things. Either:
1. Eorzeans are waaaaaaaay better at keeping their romantic and sexual lives under wraps, to a far classier degree than real life.
And/or
2. Eorzeans severely lack in having a libido comparable to ours. Thereby having extremely bland, reserved tastes in romantic partners if they even want one at all. Though the exceptions do come out most typically through the poor and uneducated, just as with real life. And the more travelled types (see: adventurers (see: us the players)).
I haven't seen the wedding ceremonies, but I imagine that there are absolutely no objections given toward the contrast of races that are to be wed. Whether they can cross-breed should be more elaborated on as we play as them ourselves. Maybe only certain combinations work. Hyur and Elezen go together. Mi'quote with Hyur could take after their spiritual predecessors (Mithra and Hume) but both ways. e.g child takes after mother. Roegadyn and Lalafell may only be able to breed among themselves. I don't want to think about those too much tbh.

Maybe there is interracial love going on all the time, but something about the six's genetics makes it that 99% of the kids are simply one or the other; that people with characteristics of both like Hilda are extremely rare.
I think what people are forgetting in this forum is that the races are called "the children of man" = common ancestor. In Sci Fi if its easy to breed between different races its due to a common ancestor typically. Without one it becomes difficult to breed (Defiance is a good example, they couldn't breed without help)
Could you guys please stop comparing this to real life? Humans aren't different races, they are different phenotypes, cultures, and ethnicities, but humans are all one race, if we met aliens one day, you'd actually meet a new race. Race is a construct in the Human world. There is not a huge difference between German's and French genetically, but yet language, culture, and geography created what humans called two different races. A race in biology is fine to use, until you finally realize that that different plant or animal is genetically related or isnt', if it is it can become a subspecies etc etc.
Just hearing you guys talk about Africans vs Europeans is like Rogadyn vs Elezen is kind of sickening, cause that isn't the way it is at all, it isn't an apt comparison, its just kinda blatantly wrong and sounds partially bigoted XD A more apt comparison is Homo Erectus, Neaderthalis, and the Denisovans, not trying to draw lines inbetween humans and act like they are different races.
I'm half white and half black if someone called me a cross breed or half breed, in real life I'd sock them in the face for being a bigot, but i understand it in the context of the game, OP's title just makes me cringe, even if they're fake we're talking about people not plants.

No, spiritual entities call us like that. Like primals or dragons. The reason is not a common ancestor, is beacuse we are all "man" in some way.I think what people are forgetting in this forum is that the races are called "the children of man" = common ancestor. Also the reason why this is compared to real life is, well where do you think this game take its references? You think it was all invented? FFXIV used a lot of real life references and myths.
This is a lore discussion, were are not brining any racists things. If you dont like this, just dont read it hahaha.
