Just came back to the game!! =) questions

ok so I have been gone for a really long time. I believe I left when Levi came out. I am back in to my WHM today. Level 50 Item level I think 90 or really close to it.

I just bought the expansion and logged in to set everything up. Now on the duty finder it shows like the selections at the top and says 1 and 2 yet 2 is blacked out for me.

My questions

1) I am level 50 didn't they raise the level to 60? If so where do I begin getting there? I am not even sure where in the quest line I was at really before I left the game.

2) Any advice on getting my gear up to speed? Example I have Royal Breeches and Allaghan earrings. Stuff like that. Oh and my weapon is the Zenith. Can I not do the dreadful zodiac quest? Really hated sitting there and no drops.

3) New classes how do I unlock and where?

Any advice please to get me back up to speed would be great!

1) Just having the expansion means you are now earning exp again towards 60. All MSQ give exp and you can still do dungeons and fates to get some too. Check your journal to see where you left off. Also the 2 is blacked out in Duty Finder because those are the HW duties that you haven't unlocked yet.

2) Get someone to craft you stuff, or earn poetics to get Ironworks gear. You can still do Zodiac but it's not worth it except glamour.

3) You have to complete all of ARR MSQs and reach Heavensward before you can unlock any of those

I found it crazy easy to get a full set of 120 stuff at level 50, using poetics. Join a hunt Linkshell, hit up rank A and S' when you can, do the Roulette: Main Scenario and Level 50 Dungeons once a day for a ton of poetics. I have so many of them i've bought a few sets of 120 stuff for alt classes I might level later lol.... Crafted stuff on my server is insane priced. The main story rewards some stuff along the way.

I'm pretty sure the MSQ between 2.0-2.55 gives out i110 gear now, so you should still be able to get some pieces from that, too.

As for the relic, they have drastically eased the various RNG based factors of it, as well as increased the amount of light you get for the steps that require light gathering. While it is true the relic, even if Zeta, will be only usefull to maybe up to level 53 or so, finishing it up at this point is far from as painfull as it used to be. I'm not saying it has to be your first concern after return, but just good to know it's not as bad as it was.
