Having trouble leveling 20-30

Can anyone please give me any advice on leveling from 20-30? I'm trying to level up my Arcanist to 34 for that skill for my healer. I already got White Mage to 34. Now my Arcanist is lv 22, but I've done all of my leve quests (cant do anymore for several hours) that it will allow me, I've done all my main story quests up to lv 30, and I've done every quest that I can find for this level range. I tried doing FATES but the server is empty and soloing fates its either impossible or takes way too long. I've been trying to find a party for the lv 20 dungeon for several hours and nothing is available to me unless I'm playing my white mage. I really wanted to get to lv 34 on my Arcanist as soon as possible so I can go back to being a white mage... I'm quite upset because I've wasted several hours tonight running around trying to find a way to continue leveling my Arcanist to no avail. My guild is also empty, it feels like the entire server is empty right now. Does anyone have any advice for me in this situation?

Firstly if you have not done so already then visit the Halls of the Novice and do the introductory "duty" there, you will be rewarded on the final duty with a ring that gives you 30% additional exp on DoW and DoM up to level 30 so it is really, really worth it.

Then you have your hunting log which pulls in lots of extra exp, plus Fates, Dungeons and Leves (unless you want to use them for other things). I appreciate that the times you are on may not be great for fates or dungeons and your guild is also quiet. It may be time to consider using a server transfer to one that is more active when you are online?

Kflex and Jaik are on the right track. The bonus exp from your hunting log(if you havent done it yet) will help. The +30% exp ring will help. When you que for the dungeon, do you directly hit the Halatali option? Often ques go faster if you give the system a couple options to go with. You would get a little less exp in copperbell or tam tara, but if it means getting in instead of waiting thats still a win. Im pretty sure you should have access to the leveling roulette by your level. That one gives a pretty good bonus once a day. You could try queing for the guildhests too. And while it isnt much, try to keep some cheap food in your inventory while youre leveling(theres a merchant in every town who sells some for pocket change, no need to use the board) and eat it for the extra 3%.

Have you changed your DF settings to also include matchmaking with JP, FR, and DE players? That should reduce your time to 30 min or so, especially if you're playing at an off-time for NA on the Primal Server shard.

Thanks everyone. I forgot to mention that I also completed the hunting log for lv 20-30 Arcanist by lv 22. That's how stretched I felt for options, and I had trouble moving forward when I completed that. I'll check my Duty Finder settings, it says something about joining Japanese language every time I enter a queue, but nothing about the others. If it isn't enabled default then I'll have to look at it. I'll also try to find this Novice Hall and this Level Roulette you mentioned.

In upper part of the DF window, close the the "Join in progress duty" option are the four language buttons. And yes, whenever you hit the queue button it shows a system message in your chat window (since latest patch) for what languages you have queued for. If you indeed have queued just for japanese on american server there's no wonder you are not getting much hits.

Transferring servers seems like a huge overkill to me and a huge waste of money just because of no one doing fates.

I myself have not seen what Hall of the Novice is about (having not leveled a lowbie job in awhile), but when I leveled in the past I'd do guildhests and run dungeons for xp. There's also the 'challenge log' you can flag in Limsa Lominsa that has tons of ways to get bonus xp and gil by completing a list of 'challenges' offered.

The details on moving server were not just for doing fates, the original poster also mentioned that they had problems queuing for dungeons, their guild seemed empty and also the server that they are on during their playtime. Given that, the advice to consider a change of server to one better populated during their playtimes is I think a valid one.
