    SMN is Broken in PvP

    Deathflare among most, and if you have 2 SMNs, the game's pretty much done unless you have a Monk since there aren't any REAL gapclosers other than Plunge by a DRK or Holmgang. Even then, the opening burst from SMN will pretty much wreck anything since there isn't a single Magic Defense increase unless you have WHM(25% Focalization), which even then doesn't matter since the damage is so high.

    Honestly I'd prefer to see Deathflare be more of a 25% HP AoE instead of like 75% then get stunned by Tank/DPS momentarily and burned by DPS. Paired with a DEF Buff, unless you have One Ilm, then the game might as well be over unless you're good enough to kill the SMN in time. Might as well be a Summoner War.

    You cannot have 2 SMNs .. maybe in 8v8 .. but we should not take 8v8 into consideration as game should be balanced for 4v4 which is aiming for. Yes SMN are OP but ... what i see most of time people are NOT using remove debuff skill after 3 disaster like i dont know for what they are saving it for? 3second stuns? or for what exactly... just cmnon remove that dots from yourself and big NO to smn fester.

    Here we go again...

    Summoner have a strong burst if left unattended. They are easily countered, essentially 'glass cannons' because after they use up their aetherflow stacks, they are pretty darn useless for the next minute or so.

    Yea a good stun or purify will help but most of the time when I pvp as SMN I'm dead in less then 30 secs Lol cause everyone targets me soooo....powerful very much but easily taken care of with coordination cause half the time the healer isn't ready for some burst heals

    Purify the DoT's they will fester but 0 damage will give them NO stacks for Dreadwyrm.
    Actually sick of these type of threads when their are counters to every job already.

    Honestly, any jobs can be killed immediately if focused on and not healed by a healer.

    With that said, as a semi casual PvPer I was able to do 4 kills in the span of the match (was around 5 mins). Can you imagine if heavy was still an effect of miasma in PvP? Reduced healing helps alot in PvP, too.

    For the lesser experienced opponents, swiftcast + tri-bind will bait them into using their purify, thus allowing me to do burst combo. In either case, the person needs to hurry up and use Purify, which they might not be fast enough to.

    But afterwards, they are more or less useless until they refill their aether stacks. At the very least, they're easier to kill now compared to Seal Rock

    OK then replace the 2nd smn with melee LB or any kind of other damage from the team and unless you are very fast or just happen to have a heal on the way you're gone in a second. Even average smn's can get me down under 2k HP quick after a good deathflare. Good ones have me down under 1k and great ones have me dead before I even know what hit me. Purify is only every 90 seconds. There are other things to worry about using it for that can have you out of the fight for 10+ seconds ya know...

    Most of solo 4v4 is burst so ya when you can literally down someone in two seconds before any chance of healing can be done it's like starting off with melee LB.
