Definitely. PS4 & Xbox are both more powerful than the minimum PC spec for FFXIV.The only issues FFXIV has because of the PS3 is UI stuff and that is only because they don't want an unfair advantage. I expect by the next expansion they will stop caring that the PS3 can't keep up.
**snip**
You can also bet they will not be pushing the game past its current base requirements because that could mean losing subscribers. Extra eye candy that is unlikely to increase sales at the cost of development time and paying customers just isn't something developers are into.

Well maybe xone can run it @ 800p, 20fps
Joking aside i do not care what platform someone plays on, as long as we all enjoy the game
XBox gamers still have Micro$oft to blame for them not being able to play this game on their console.
Everyone seems to forget about FFXI, its been done before and its most likely going to happen again.

Windows support is ending later on after the console support does. don't remember when but it will.
ffxi was on ps2,pc, xb360 and on ps3 as i had a friend that played on ps2, ps3 and pc with a character on each at the same time
There was no PS# version of FFXI, but you could run the game on a PS3 under PS2 emulation on early 'phat' PS3s with the PS2 chipset pomn the motherboard. On later PS3 models that capability was dropped (stupid move by Sony) and so you could no longer play FFXI on PS3 unless you had one of the early models.

I'll be cool seeing Xbone players on the servers. I just doubt if they'll actually go through negotiations if they persist in the foolish idea of forcing the developers to have Xbone-only servers alongside the cross-platform ones. I'm very curious to see how talks will go concerning that.

Depends. XB1 still requires XBL for online games. Many people on PS4 play FFXIV because they dont require PS+ to play on top with the subscription.
Unless Microsoft changes that restriction. This information means nothing for FFXIV.

Well, using FFXI as an example, that game did not require you to have a Gold subscription to play online (and I can confirm this myself, as I've played it on a Silver account). I think it's because FFXI used SE's servers and not Microsofts.

It's because Microsoft didn't have a problem with it when FFXI was released (for 360). Now they do and require games (on at least Xbox One) to have a gold subscription (probably because they want their slice of the money).
