Now the reason why people get salty:
1-Is a RANK match so you hope that will be players that know how to play. If you wanna learn do have no rank.(8vs8 is not a good place to learn)
2- Pre season is for players improve yours skill not learn play the game.
3- I don't wanna be salty but have no idea about pvp skill and join a rank match is a big joke.
4- They give up to easy on the match, and for the people that is rank they not give up.
5- They have no idea how the game work, so in the end that usually you need to hit someone to win they are doing other things.
6- Most of then don't really wanna learn they wanna get carry to win the mount or just wanna the minion or cap lore or wolf mark for glam or songs make who enjoy pvp salty.
Have more but that is why pvper don't like when a person is new, it is like the savage mode was only solo df for rewards and a person that never clear the history mode join and you hope for rng save you to get your clear or learn the fight.

I think it's both a missed opportunity and a huge mistake that 8v8 Feast isn't directly referred to as "Training" when you get the opportunity to queue for it. 4v4 is really not the place for a brand new player - having a second healer, second tank or more DPS is like adding training wheels to the learning process.
A brand new player going into 4v4 rather than 8v8 is making the game not only harder for their team, but less fun both for their team and themselves. It might honestly be better if people who have never PvPed before had to get to rank 10 or so before Ranked unlocked, to ensure they had at least gotten through a few games of Feast or Seal Rock and seen what their abilities do, because fighting a 3v4 is a hell of a lot more frustrating than fighting a 7v8.

There's no need for salt, I guess, but there are some people out there that are doing really dumb things, so dumb they have to be intentional. If you get a string of really stupid people, you tend to have little patience for any more mistakes.

Ongoing mission: Tank everything on DRG. On purpose.
Yeah I agree with this - They should have a "hall of novice" equivalent to train new people how to use their pvp skills and give some pvp experience and entry level pvp gear as a reward. Then directing these guys to 8v8 until they've done at least some minimum number of matches in a more laid back environment would be great. There's definitely a point where you can only learn so much 8v8 and you need the 4v4s to progress more but the first 10 ranks or so you're mainly just learning to hit your pvp moves anyway.
Look. I get it. I really do. Nobody likes to be yelled at. But when you come into a Ranked match, and play like an idiot, ignore kill orders and go "It's just a game", we're gonna have problems. Because you just dropped the rating of three other players because you wanted to walk in and go "WHEEEEEE PVP!" Would you pull that crap in a dungeon or raid? I think not. So why is it okay to do it in PvP?
If you want to do some 4v4 solo queue, there's no "unranked" mode.
You know that, in FFXIV which isn't known for its PvP scene, each time a patch brings some new PvP elements, players who never went in PvP before are going to try it. It's expected.
You are repeating yourself. See #2.
wat.
See #2 and #3.
That happens with every content.
The reason why people get salty is simple: they are jerks and idiots.
That said, after 20 or so matches, I saw only 1 dude who was like that.
People are making a mountain out of a molehill. Or maybe it's just NA.
Who cares? It's pre-season and if you reach a high enough rank, you're not gonna see these "WHEEEEEE PVP!" again.Look. So be patient and rank up. Also, don't forget that there's no unranked 4v4.

There is no unranked 4v4 because 4v4 is a terrible environment to learn. No matter who you are, if you have no idea what you're doing you're putting your team at a enormous disadvantage - a completely unrecoverable one if you're playing the group's tank or healer. Three Actually Silver players are not going to beat four Actually Bronze players outside of a stroke of good luck - losing that fourth player is a nearly insurmountable hit, even if it's "only" your ranged DPS.
If you want to queue for 4v4, knowing that your inexperience means your team is losing because of you, then be my guest. But it's not as though the angry people you encounter are without grievance, and I will defend their right to be angry at you (and occasionally join them, if you're that dumb).

Can't reach a high enough rank when you're constantly thrown into matches with complete morons, now, can you? Not in solo queue. Not when you end up with players who just sit there attacking the tank the whole time, while ignoring the SMN with 9 stacks, and 350 medals. You're not going to win, when the healer runs right into the center of the arena and /sits because they got killed once, and blames everyone around them because they're the scrub who couldn't heal through the damage a single bard does. Just a bard. Not even a bard plus another player. They got soloed by a bard. These are the kinds of players who infest the PvP ranked queue, and if being toxic chases them out for good, I say good riddance. Maybe, once all the pants on head PvE heroes leave ranked, we'll actually get real matches that aren't so horribly onesided, you shouldn't have even bothered to queue at all.
8v8 doesn't really prepare you for 4v4. They're not at all the same experience. And if there was training queue for 4v4, then people shouldn't be getting mad at others, because it's training. There is no unranked 4v4 because 4v4 is a terrible environment to learn.
