    dps scared

it seems to me that there is alot of dps too scared to attack other players in pvp, for example: in seal rock yesterday we were defending our monolith and maelstrom came on the offensive. okay everyone defend....erm no apparently not. instead me(sch) 1 pld(our only tank) n 1 nin were just abandoned as our whm 2 mnk 1 drg and another nin ran for the hills. the pld got stuck in ill give him his dues n the ninja killed maelstroms only healer(ast) but by this point im left trying to heal my 2 comerades against an onslaught of balanced up smns n wars(needless to say we died).
this is just 1 of 100 examples im seeing more and more of, fellow team mates running from the fray and ultimately the win due to what i can only assume is that they are scared of their dps output not been enough or they are simply pacifists.
anyone else having these issues? or can anyone shed some light on this? should SE impliment a penalty for players who are chicken as all they accomplish is lowering our score?

i say scared of their dps been too low not because im hating on the roles as i know nin drg and mnk are the best damagers in pvp , i mean it as in the players skill level and knowledge of burst dmg and cooldown usage. there are days where i get consistently good teams but when i get bad ones its the same for the rest of the day , kudos to all those dps out there that get stuck in and lead us to victory ^^

One question: How much there was left on that tomelith? if it was 20% or less then they made right choice and abandoned it instead of feeding points, now if it was pretty fresh then they were pussies. In 72mans its sometimes better to do a tome change if you get zerged by whole enemy team while you have only one party, just back off and flank their tome instead of trying to defend yours, this also makes them run between tomes if they want to have both(maximumovertroll).

Take your place further to the back where you're out of sight and don't bring attention to yourself. If anyone tries to hassle you then simply drop Minuet, attack on the move and resume again once you are left alone and establish a position you don't plan on moving from too much. Minuet is the source of your burst potential, you just need to bleed your target a bit and crush them before they have a chance to respond. Unless there is heavy focus on a specific target, then I'd worry less about dealing sustained overall damage throughout the entire match and more about focused, burst damage that actually makes a difference on picking of key targets.

dont always keep wanderers on.. use it for burst like bind + wanders + barrage + empolyean arrow etc not a good idea keeping wanderers on since can kite alot of classes pretty easy without it

the tome itself was only just activated , i do shoutouts to let them have it if its nearly done and they are on the assault but all the instances i was refering to are when we have just activated it , people shouldnt pvp if they arent willing to do the 'vp' part lol

also thanks for the tips khanli and spawnie its much appreciated , ive asked in seal rock but all i get is 'get good or get out' i will practice stance dancing WM i cant believe i never thought of that >.<

If your data center is anything like Primal then most of the regular PVP'ers have stopped running frontline in favor of feast. Therefore you will have many runs with new people trying to get into PVP to maybe try feast later on but not many ppl left to guide/lead them in there that actually know what they are doing resulting in scenarios like those you have described. The frontline queues have died I think here in primal data center but I can only imagine the mess it is now in the few matches that actually do happen. Though I'll admit I'm only speculating on how bad it is since I havent tried to queue to frontline at all since feast came out.

i am on moogle server , the frontline queues are still pretty quick , at the most around 10 minutes during midday hours . im liking feast but its over and done with too quick n only takes 1 person to make you lose lol , (i play whm n ast in feast by the way). maybe your right and the case is just newer faces to the pvp environment not quite knowing what to do , its a shame as i like seal rock hopefully SE can make it more relevant again . as for now ill stick to feast (i love 4v4) and just hope for the best with the rest of the contents future ^^
