How you chose your healing job.

I saw the "Answers" movie and adored the lalafell white mage who healed the main hero. So, I decided my first character was going to be a lalafell white mage.

<------- Thus was born Kacho Nacho, a little guy with a talent for healing, out to see the world and do a little good along the way.

After I started leveling him, I was pleasantly surprised conjurer/white mage played like WoW's holy priest, a class I mained for years. Reactive healing is my natural play style.

Meanwhile, I also picked up scholar. After all, why not? It was only 15 more levels. However, I'll need some help learning how to heal the mitigation way.

My first healer job was SCH, on getting it to 50 I wanted bigger and more heals so I levelled white mage, love them both very much, but prefer whm for most 'end game' type stuffs LOL

I chose AST over WHM because: I have more fun playing the class, I love the lore, and I love the globes/effects. I never tried SCH bc I don't like dealing with a pet.

Initially, I chose WHM because I really loved how their spells looked in the Job Actions trailer for Heavensward. My love for the job only grew when I learned that they were better at burst healing (gotta love those 4k+ heals!) and could DPS fairly well in duties when given the opportunity.

Chose AST after leveling all three...SCH I'm just not good enough to push some really good numbers and heal lol

WHM is okay but got a little boring after a while

AST is just fun and has decent dps

Pretty much the opposite for me. I was never a good whm, but AM a good SCH. But now that i'm leveling AST, i'm thinking i like it alot... not sure if it beats out SCH yet, but it's funner and i'm better with it then i am a Whm.

At first, I thought Archery was pretty cool but I kept dying in solo content so I opted to obtain a few Conjury abilities and I just ended up falling in love with the playstyle of the job. How I chose it? Besides that cross-class skill Cure, I really just liked the nostalgia surrounding the white mage class as well as the new lore presented in FFXIV. I could never get into SCH as it seemed a tad too complicated to learn; I've already got most of what I need to know as a WHM, no need to add anything else to it.

After leveling every healer to 60, I liked eevrything about AST but when I leveled WHM, I just fell in love with it so now I main WHM. My sub healing class is AST though, and I don't like pet classes so I don't play SCH unless its leveling roulette.

Started out as a CNJ/WHM during 2.0, got bored and switched to SCH, then switched to AST at 3.0.
I'll probably switch to the next healing job in 4.0. >w>

Kidding aside, I'm obsessed with the Mass Effect series, so the idea of a space/time-themed healer was incredibly appealing.

From the start, I started leveling SMN, since it shared most of the gear my main BLM did. When I went to pick up the quest for SMN, SCH was also available, so I just decided to get that while I was there. Glad I did, because I play that more than my SMN now. During low level dungeons, I would always let the fairy do 'most' of the healing. And for higher level runs, I enjoyed Stance Dancing between DPS and heal. Since I play with Mouse/Keyboard, controlling the fairy is really easy for me. That's the main reason my brother refuses to play SMN/SCH. While I main BLM, SCH is always my second when needed.
