Not sure what the lowest possible control for this is, but if you have the control mentioned in the "extremely high stats" thread (1018), you can do a 22 step 100% HQ rotation for 3-stars with 3k starting quality. It also gives an 85% HQ rate even if you use 2000 starting quality (which bumps up to 100% if you get a single Precise Touch), so if you just want to crank em out and get "mostly" HQ going into an Ironworks synth, this is a great rotation. I use it all the time to speed my craft time up.
Muscle Memory
Comfort Zone
Inner Quiet
Steady Hand II
Piece by Piece
Basic Touch x4
Steady Hand II
Master's Mend II
Basic Touch x2
Steady Hand
Great Strides
Innovation
Ingenuity II
Byregot's Blessing
Careful Synth x4
This rotation costs 471 CP. If you have the max 480 CP, you can replace Muscle Memory for Piece by Piece, which doesn't change the outcome at all, but saves you a cross class slot.

Thanks for the feedback Espiritduo. I started looking into this a bit ago and did the math and its pretty darn neat. In practice though when I checked my current crafting behavior I make my intermediate ingredients often times with much less than 3k. None the less it would be optimal to have both macros. Not sure what the lowest possible control for this is, but if you have the control mentioned in the "extremely high stats" thread (1018), you can do a 22 step 100% HQ rotation for 3-stars with 3k starting quality. Hi ^^
I must confess that I don't like to change my skills for crafting durab 35 or 70 items and i love manipulation.
That is the reason why I use this Rota for 3* items.
I hope my English is understandable, but i wanted to show you my Rota.
Since this discussion has helped me to find it.![]()
I know you LOVE Manipulation but you may prefer the below rotation instead as "Piece by Piece" is a 90% success rate so they could fail in your rotation. Also the below macro has a higher chance to hq. I guess it depends if you have the required cross class skills too.Hi ^^

i am currently at a base of 988 Crafts, 926 Control and 415 CP.
i have my main hand/tools left... what should i increase next to make myself more efficient for making HQ items?
thank you
Chest and Pants would be best. They give the largest gain in stats. After those Hat, Gloves, Feet. Follow those with your accessories and very last your belt
Optimal Stat progression:
(Mainhand|Offhand) > (Chest|Pants) > (Hat|Gloves|Feet) > (Accessories) | (Belt)

that is great to know, i mean the only thing i have left to meld or work on is my tool slots, i don't know what i should meld into them
This is the guide xAshex went by: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...qjs/edit#gid=0
I recommend holding off on both your tools until 3.4 drops. Without knowing the exact requirements, it could end up being a waste to meld a ton of Craftsmanship. Personally, I suspect we won't need to at all as Craftsmanship will float around the 940-960 range, if only because much higher makes the Augmented set worthless.
