I thought they should give experienced players the ability to "mark" suspected bots. I mean, since the game doesn't seem to be doing any specific checks to detect illicit behaviour with great success, I figured that it would be less strenuous on the servers if players could basically report a targeted PC at the click of a button, and once the count reaches a significant amount(let's say 10), then the server can use more strict detection procedures at more frequent intervals on the reported target and surely pick up the fact they are bots. People who successfully report bots whom are later banned can be awarded more trust and permitted to report targets more frequently and have their reports account for more than just a single tick.

That was just my random idea though. I certainly dislike seeing it too and it put me through a lot of hardship since I am an alt-aholic with eight characters on Balmung(and sincerely hoping I may one day be able to make more if they lift the 8 character limit), but at the same time I can understand their desire to want to more evenly distribute the player base across the more sparsely-populated servers.

Flagging bots is just one way to stop them from roaming around, the issue is still that they force SE to bottleneck the players allowed to enter a server at a time and bots instantly fill the new slots available, which makes it tough for alts or new players to get in and play where they want. I did think of either a system where you queue up a character to be entered into the server eventually or that games recently purchased can get a free server transfer within the first few weeks to help new players get onto the servers with their friends.
