Next quest pick up

Hello everyone,

I have just finished the Quest "Eyes on Me" and in the dialog at the end of that one they say to go to Gridania to locate the airship but I do not have a quest to tell me where to go there and I have not seen the story quest anywhere in New or Old Gridania.

Just wondering where I should go to pick up the next quest.

You need to be level 36. Speak to Iliud at the church. I suggest that you complete the side quests at the church too.

You do need to be level 36. The MSQ icon, which should be present but red to indicate that your level isn't high enough, is probably hidden beneath Iliud's side quest icon. I have read that you also have to do his side quest to get the next MSQ, but I don't know if that is accurate or not.

Throughout the Main Scenario (and I believe all other quest chains), when you complete one quest in the chain, the next one can be picked up right there. It's usually from the same NPC you completed the preceding quest with. In the few cases where it's not them, it will be someone within sight of where they are. If the story needs you to go elsewhere, there will be a quest to pick up locally, and one of its objectives will be going wherever that is.

The most common reason for people losing track of their Main Scenario quests is when the next quest jumps to a higher required level and they can't take it immediately because they don't meet that level requirement. If that happens and you can't take the next quest right away, just remember where you completed and turned in the last one. That's where you'll need to go back to when you can pick the chain up again.

In this case specifically, it's Iliud at that church near Drybone you get the "He Who Waited Behind" quest from. That quest will then send you to Gridania.

Thank you all for your help. It was that I was not a high enough level and the icon for the Main quest line was hidden under his side quest icon so I was not able to see it. I think I just got so use to being a few levels ahead of the main quest that it just didn't occur to me that the level requirements had caught up to where I was again. I do not know if you have to do his side quest to be able to move on but I did it anyways for the xp.

I had the same thing, level 1-30 I was always ahead of the story by a lot. Then I started to catch up to it. I found doing the Roulettes, challenge log, and hunting log to help push exp forward pretty useful. Be sure you also unlock your Job at some point, or you wont get certain spells for your class.

You might also want to work a bit on Thaumaturge to 26 for Swiftcast as well.

I have my Job already, and I have gotten my Chocobo already as well. But thank you for the link I am sure they will be helpful as I level up other classes.

And I do like being able to Summon Ifrit and Titan they are pretty cool.

Ah, your character Main Class was coming up as Arcanist, so I wasn't sure I have seen a lot of people past 30 (even a 50 or two) who don't know about job unlocking!

Be sure you get the lvl 1-30 exp ring from the novice training, helps a lot when you do level alt classes

Yeah I had not gone in and updated that to summoner, I forgot to/didnt realize that I had to. And I do believe that I have that ring as well I did do all of the novice training.
