    Yoshi-P / Dev Team please considering adding Abyssea to this game

    Yoshi-P and Dev Team please consider adding Abyssea to this game like from FFXI.

    In FFXIV's current state we log in run one of two dungeons for esoterics each day and after so many days/weeks we have a complete set of gear.

    If Yoshi-P / Dev team were to add Abyssea to this game it would give it some much needed longevity to content/gearing up. It would make all the green items from the two expert roulette dungeons be something more than a trade in for GC seals. We would have to use that armor until we were able to get each piece of AF (or whatever you would call it) gear from Abyssea by killing monsters and spawning NM's (kind of like in Diadem) and trading in the pages we earn from killing said NM's for our gear.

    Sure, it would require more work than just logging in and running expert roulette every day.

    We would actually have to make parties and go and kill things, slowly earning pages from killing NM's toward each piece of gear in our set.

    No thanks, Diadem is a horrible piece of content and I hope they never bring in anything like that to FFXIV ever again... but they will, like they do with Hunts.

    For those of you who do not know what Abby is.

    Think of FATE ATMA grind x Hunting Log but you know you will get an ATMA after so many NMs If you contribute enough and sometimes you cant get your ATMA because the FATEs you need to kill are way too hard unless you have at least 8 competent people.

    I get what you are trying to say OP, but Abby gave ... mixed results.

    They said gear made by crafters will be stronger in patch 3.2 than it has been until now.
    So if you believe that, we have at least 5 different kinds of high level gear: crafted, tome/token, raid, pvp, diadem.
    And earning tomestones happens in more ways than just dungeon; I would recommend frontlines and exploratory missions for those. So there's some variety.

    Diadem was the one of the worst if not the worst content this game seen. A horrible piece of crap made to just keep us playing until 3.2 but it was poorly made. I don't want anything like this ever again. I got my mount from there and it was an awful experience. I will never ever enter that silly thing ever again. 1 and half hour of a stupid grindfest with a zerg and no brains. Reminded me of Lineage 2 grindfest and not with the good meaning. Horrible idea poorly executed. FFXIV needs more horizontal progression and more gear choices. I don't mind the tomestones but those ideas got old and we are still getting the same things recycled over and over again with every patch. I'm pretty sure there are other ways too. 3.1 was a horrible patch. I liked the 2 new dungeons but apart from those it was a poor job. We need more open world activities (I don't mean FATE grindfest), gear from craft which will be good, more dungeons with gear that is not crap and not only for skin.

    Okay so I was one of the few folks who LIKED Abyssea but..... no.

    I wouldn't mind the new weapons following the Empyrean weapon pattern though. 50/50/75 NM kills mean you had to cooperate with people to get shit done, especially since the NMs were farmed/popped and dropped other nice things for people.

It's true that Diadem in a way has just turned into a Duty Finder hunt system that can be queued for without the waiting to call out a mob spawning lol which is kinda lame, there isn't really a sense of exploration and that's the part I was really hoping would of made it into Diadem but it does feel really shallow atm.
