Time zones in Hydaelyn

I just noticed this when i teleported from Limsa to Gridania that time remains the same and night/day changes happens at the same time too.
I understand that this is quite trivial matter comparing to other things waiting to be fixed/implemented but its bugging me now.
Was there ever a game that has a different time zones emulated in its world?

Actually is that even possible to implement in such type of games?

but in relation to the world they are pretty much all in the same region so would have the same time zone

Why would they do it? It would just make it more difficult to keep track of the ingame time. And besides, as baxter pointed out, it's not like they're very far apart. They're neighboring city states, not countries

Its quite possible that i missed the info about Hydaelyn planet size (if there was such info), but if we assume that its about Earth size than it means that distance between Gridania and Limsa is less than 300km.

These arent the only countries/city states. Im sure as the game goes on they will introduce new lands. u cant start assuming now that this is all we are gonna get :P
