Edit 2: and then I see your edit so NVM, glad it's working.

EDIT: On the first option, the folder is Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\downloads\ffxivpatch and in there are other folders that you would move out to desktop.

Two main options, two drastic options.

First try going into your Documents folder. Find "My Games" then "FFXIV A Realm Reborn" in there. There should be a cache or patch folder in there. Move it to the desktop. DO NOT DELETE IT YET!!

Try patching.

Still a no go? Go into the C:/Program Files (x86)/SquareEnix/FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn/game/ffxiv.exe
and move that file to the desktop, again DO NOT DELETE yet!!

Run patcher again. Hopefully one of those two will force the file to be redownloaded and patched. Once the game is patched and running well, delete the files from your desktop. You might need to move them back in if the patcher throws a fit (shouldn't though).

Second to final option, there is somewhere in the patcher itself a full file scan, takes forever but might fix the issue.

Absolute last option (and this one sucks the most) delete FFXIV completely and redownload it from the website.
