Depends on what ff your talking about. Magus is usually a powerful magic user(could use black or white)
. Im kinda rooting for void mage. And with the events going on with the void arc, it seems possible.
P.s. magus is the dark elemental character in chrono cross. Dark magic = void magic maybe? Theory crafting is fun.

i believe In FF3 the Magus was the upgraded version of Black mage, and the Devout was the upgraded version of the white mage and then you had sage which was the cooler version of red mage. Still though i would love to see a viking class. I mean think of this as a move
Viking Pyre - Places a DoT on the boss for 30 potency of fire damage per second over time for 10 sec and buffs all fire based attacks by 5-10% for the duration.
With that Black mages would be so happy not to mention monks and vikings sharing the blunt effect.
It would be awesome to have a mace class or two handed mace class. I also do love vikings >_>

Vikings were the original users of Provoke with heavy armor. Don't know why people think it would be a DPS class if we got it.

Honestly, We also need another Shield Class, so Viking could specialize in Hammers and Shields. It could stand out from Paladin in that it could mitigate damage by upping the block power with shields. I think Viking would make a lot of sense in a way for Ala Mihgo. Viking feels like it would fit naturally into the FFXIV world in many ways.

i really hope we get this class it seems like it definitely possible and there is plenty of community to back the idea. come on devs show us a sign!!! I would kill to have my hammer throw ability from FF3 back. *cough* mjolnir throw *cough* like the dark night ranged jump, or dragonfire dive, but as a Viking and with a hammer and lightning aspected. oh that would be a beautiful sight to see

My only issue is meaningfully differentiating a "Viking Class" from the Warrior. In most games, Vikings are defined by several "Berserker" abilities and typically wield large weapons such as Axes or Hammers. In Final Fantasy, the FFIII version had the provoke ability, while in FF Tactics A2 they actually had a number of thunder based abilities and weapon strikes. I'm not sure there is a clear identity here that would truly be unique from the Warrior.
That said, it'd certainly be possible to create a unique "Viking Class", but I'm not sure what direction it would need to take.
Aren't Vikings similar to Marauders? Either way I would love to see this added.
