2 new dungeons, while fun and look nice are no change from what we usually get.

New tier of alexander raid which again is pretty much the same as what we usually get.

Then theres tome grinding and thats about it.

If you left because you disliked how endgame was in 3.x then the break MAY have been enough for you to enjoy it again. But i'd say not much overall has changed about the game or endgame.
This isn't quite true though. Whilst the structure of content remains largely the same the quality of that content is vastly different. A LOT of people burned out on the game between 3.0 and 3.2 as the first tier of Alexander was extremely boring, the savage mode was massively overtuned (even Yoshi has admitted this) and 3.1 added very little of worth at all due to both the Diadem and Lords of Verminion being major flops (primarily because they were implemented poorly, both have promise if given a bit of love).

3.2 is much much more fun in contrast and is arguably one of the strongest patches we've had since launch.

OP if it is the structure of the endgame that put you off then that is unchanged but if it was the quality then that is very much improved now. It sounds like you quit just because someone told you it wasn't very good though so i imagine you're not really in a position to know whether you would actually like the changes or not.
