Nothing has changed about the end game of FFXIV and I doubt it ever will.

2 new dungeons, while fun and look nice are no change from what we usually get.

New tier of alexander raid which again is pretty much the same as what we usually get.

Then theres tome grinding and thats about it.

If you left because you disliked how endgame was in 3.x then the break MAY have been enough for you to enjoy it again. But i'd say not much overall has changed about the game or endgame.
This isn't quite true though. Whilst the structure of content remains largely the same the quality of that content is vastly different. A LOT of people burned out on the game between 3.0 and 3.2 as the first tier of Alexander was extremely boring, the savage mode was massively overtuned (even Yoshi has admitted this) and 3.1 added very little of worth at all due to both the Diadem and Lords of Verminion being major flops (primarily because they were implemented poorly, both have promise if given a bit of love).

3.2 is much much more fun in contrast and is arguably one of the strongest patches we've had since launch.

OP if it is the structure of the endgame that put you off then that is unchanged but if it was the quality then that is very much improved now. It sounds like you quit just because someone told you it wasn't very good though so i imagine you're not really in a position to know whether you would actually like the changes or not.

While it may be true that they are more entertaining it is still the same thing is what im meaning.

The dungeons follow the same design of literally every dungeon in this game, and the raids still remain 1 boss.

He questioned the end game and that hasn't changed. Its still cap your tomes, do normal alexander for gear and then do savage if you want to.

Of course, I just felt it was worth highlighting the distinction. I was bored out of my mind until 3.2 launched but I'm enjoying the game a lot more since we got some quality content that's actually enjoyable to play.

I think its safe to say the vast majority of players were bored out of their minds before 3.2. Or at least You, myself and the majority of the forum at the very least.

It wasn't the most entertaining period that this games had thats for sure.
