    is it worth

Is it worth coming back? im level 56 bard but left because i was getting a bit boring and people told me end game was meh (before 3.2 tho) and well i decided to quit. the thing is, i hate crafting and well raiding will be possible but dunno yet. and idk about you but doing the same dailies over and over might get a bit boring imo

The question you need to ask yourself is why you left.

Nothing has changed about the end game of FFXIV and I doubt it ever will.

2 new dungeons, while fun and look nice are no change from what we usually get.

New tier of alexander raid which again is pretty much the same as what we usually get.

Then theres tome grinding and thats about it.

If you left because you disliked how endgame was in 3.x then the break MAY have been enough for you to enjoy it again. But i'd say not much overall has changed about the game or endgame.

From the way you make it sound? Nope. You wouldn't like it. I like crafting, otherwise you're going to have to bother people or pay to get things. Raiding isn't as harsh as the previous expansions for DPS checks. I don't mind going in...Tuesday - Friday I do my expert, and one or two alexander runs. By the time Friday comes. I'm caught up. Weekend off and Monday mess around with whatever.

This isn't quite true though. Whilst the structure of content remains largely the same the quality of that content is vastly different. A LOT of people burned out on the game between 3.0 and 3.2 as the first tier of Alexander was extremely boring, the savage mode was massively overtuned (even Yoshi has admitted this) and 3.1 added very little of worth at all due to both the Diadem and Lords of Verminion being major flops (primarily because they were implemented poorly, both have promise if given a bit of love).

3.2 is much much more fun in contrast and is arguably one of the strongest patches we've had since launch.

OP if it is the structure of the endgame that put you off then that is unchanged but if it was the quality then that is very much improved now. It sounds like you quit just because someone told you it wasn't very good though so i imagine you're not really in a position to know whether you would actually like the changes or not.

You see will you like end game or not is subjective. You shouldn't exactly just take other peoples word for it. That being said, if you weren't enjoying the game then, then the leveling process didn't change and you shouldn't force yourself to play what you dislike.

If you left because of the mere thought of endgame instead of the experience, I'm just gonna go out on a whim and say you probably shouldn't return.

Wait for the next welcome back campaign that they like to do after major patches. Not sure if they will do it again but they usually do one. Then you can try it yourself.

While it may be true that they are more entertaining it is still the same thing is what im meaning.

The dungeons follow the same design of literally every dungeon in this game, and the raids still remain 1 boss.

He questioned the end game and that hasn't changed. Its still cap your tomes, do normal alexander for gear and then do savage if you want to.

Of course, I just felt it was worth highlighting the distinction. I was bored out of my mind until 3.2 launched but I'm enjoying the game a lot more since we got some quality content that's actually enjoyable to play.

Why did you not finish your question in your subject line?

To answer your question, that depends on you. My interests/experiences etc will differ from you which will differ from everyone else.

That said, My immediate thoughts are no, but that said I play insane amounts still. I am highly disappointed in this game, but play it because there is 'nothing better' really.

My plan is to play this until Legion drops and swap over to WoW. I wish more traditional PvE focsed MMOs were in development, have been pretty disappointed in all the new MMO's coming out and have little hype for all the ones in development.
