What thats stupid! "stop spending your time on this because its the minority of interest"? Thats a terrible way to look at things.. I'd rather have the option to do a bad pvp if I want than no option at all..

Most still would, albeit only once or twice if there were literally no rewards (Esos and etc). People attempt Savage for the challenge.
Since they keep making PvP gear don't have rank restriction, it makes me angry somehow. You don't know the effort of people spamming frontline (or wolves den) and bam, you make the effort wasted. (Maybe this is like people who into raid and angry because nerfed) /endrant
PvP in this game is very unbalanced which makes it unfun for me , i am also afraid that this could cause devs to focus less on the fun part of the game in my opinion which is PvE
I'd love to see more difficult content like this but it won't happen if more mid core content isn't developed and if we don't get a real end game. Frankly it looks like a combination of a lack of development resources as well as poor implementation of what they want to develop.
Hail Nanamo. Glory to Lalafell kind.
Ehhh, I guess our pvp linkshell is special then. Even after we got all the rewards we could from FLs we still did frontlines for the fun. We'd go on skype and have a ball. "DAYM THAT GUY GOT OOOOWNED" "Watch this, Imma LB this astro! DAYM they dead!" being the greatest source of fun :PIf you want to really see who considers pvp a fun and engaging part of the game if you was to take away the rewards and much better created outfits you would see the true amount of people who would enjoy the erroneously misdirected development time. The majority of people who pvp do so solely for the carrot on a stick. Option for weekly cap and superior looking armor and a nice little floating air ship mount to boot of course it will be popular for those items.
I don't understand why people are even bringing up WoW in this discussion as that game became irrelevant. The peak in PvP WoW had was back in WotLK when it was fun and fast and thrilling. Now all classes do the same in PvP and it became so irrelevant.. Plus when it comes to e-sports, MOBAs took over. Case closed.
I expected an OP from any EU server, and was surprised to see Balmung. PvP is a real thing on NA and JP servers. It's only deserted on EU servers
PvP players are a minority. This reminds me of the good old days of Guild Wars when the PvP players claimed to be the majority. Well, it turns out they were wrong, and the real numbers showed that the majority of the players were not playing PvP at all or just once in a while. So with those infos, Anet decided that all future contents would be PvE only, which they did when they were working on their second campaign Nightfall which was PvE only, introducing Heroes making PvE easier and more fun. The expanpion Eyes of the North was solely PvE as well.

I wish more game dev had the balls to do something like this instead of trying to please every single player group in their game. Not saying pvp should be discarded here, as i haven't played it yet so i don't know how big of a community it is, but i feel games tend to fail more often when they try to please everyone instead of focusing on what they're good at.PvP players are a minority.
