SE please reconsider dev time spent on player vs player

I understand that you are trying to attract as many different types of players and branch out to e-sport type events to compete with wow arena e-sports but realize the players of FF 14 are more interested in the final fantasy product and the feel of a more eastern oriented type of mmo in style and game play. The queue times for pvp is sometimes up to an hour and it is apparent that an extremely small majority is the only ones who really enjoy pvp in a ff game.

But the resources and dev time for such a tiny-tiny minority imo is not a wise use of your time and it shows with a lack luster november and almost 10 months for a real update and new type of raid. Shorter Hildebrand that does feel a bit rushed and even the raids/dungeons itself seems less crafted then the 3 dungeons you use to put out at 3-5 month intervals over Heavensward 6+ months of wait time for half a patch.

SE please reconsider the development time spent on Savage raids. I understand that you're trying to attract the hardcore types of players from WoW and other raiding MMORPGs, but you have to realize that this is FFXIV and we're mostly casuals, the queue times for this content doesn't even exist because it can't be done with a group of randoms. The resources and development time for such a tiny-tiny minority (2-3%) imo is not a wise use of your time and it shows...

Yeah, no. Development time spent on PvP is already incredibly minimal, no balance changes or anything apart from a few maps with 3 gamemodes few months for what, since 2.1? This is coming from someone who doesn't even PvP often (like once a month at that), but I'm enjoying The Feast more than quite a bit.

wow stoped being a e-sport looong time ago , the lack of balance and interest of the playerbase killed it.

i dont think devs wasted lots of time doing the feast , and this content will last months (seasons ) , pvp players needed a bone to be fair....the feast is a modifidied wolves den with coins + ranking so meh.

I don't understand why people are even bringing up WoW in this discussion as that game became irrelevant. The peak in PvP WoW had was back in WotLK when it was fun and fast and thrilling. Now all classes do the same in PvP and it became so irrelevant.. Plus when it comes to e-sports, MOBAs took over. Case closed.

I feel there is a lot of players out there that will disagree with you there Galdous
most PvP people feel the real fix for PvP is to remove the GC requirement on frontlines will solve all the queue issues

personal I feel the issues is that no-one gives an ass about PvP short of the "ooo something new" effect and people like me that will stay clear of PvP like the plague

don't know how to solve the queue issues from people who don't care about PvP and those who have burned though the PvP content

Sorry for nitpicking, but a "Small Majority" would be about 50% of players. You mean "Small Minority".

On a more serious note, people are interested in different types of content. Part of the reason they introduce new PVP modes is to get more people interested in PVP. Plus, keep in mind that Dev Time spent in one place can't necessarily be distributed anyway you would like. For example, the designers for PVP cannot just be told "Go make more Hildebrand instead" and then it will work that way. There are typically different teams for different tasks. Some might focus on quests, others on raids, and the designers can't necessarily transfer between the two, at least without a significant training period.

I think the Novice Network was a bigger waste of development resources, tbh. You don't see me crying about it, though.

Implying that XIV's PVP is balanced enough to be competitive at an e-sports level did make me lol, A+ for that.

I think it is vitally important for the success of the game that development team only puts resources into content that I am interested in.

    Sincerely,
