No. FFXIV throws out a lot of easter eggs and call-out references in its Ability names and monsters all the time. Players rarely get the same abilities as monsters, especially boss monsters.

Also, using monsters to test abilities on players is useless considering the PvE focus of the game. If anything, it suggests those abilities won't be available to players.

I'd rather they make some kind of monster mini-game like Monstrosity or Pankration instead of BST.

I think they could both monstrosity and pankration as well bst. i think more bigger monster such as dragons and dinosaur they have pankration or monstroity personal the pankration in ffxi was down right confusing to use. i much pefer them have bst.
