Imperial class?

Maybe I missed the thread but I'm surprised there isn't one, or at least often. Everyone's psyched to have samurai, red Mage and whatnot ... And don't get me wrong, so am I... But isn't the new expansion in the future going to be centered around the Garlemald Empire? If so wouldn't it be cool if one of the classes released with the famous samurai and Red Mage is an imperial class as well?

How would you make the class?

Machinist already took the idea of guns but I always thought since 1.0 their spear/sword/arm guns were sick. And their armor... Imagine AF Imperial armor.

While I'm not against the idea, and it might be possible to have a dedicated "Imperial" job in the next xpac, an xpac centered around the Empire won't be the next on (We are about 95% certainly going to Ala Mhigo.)

The big thing about an Imperial job is, how would it work? What would the main weapon be, seeing as how the Imperials basically use the classes we have, with magic either being Tech-based or conscripted soilders. This leaves us with the higher-ups, like Gaius and Nero...which I think there would be many who wouldn't mind Nero being a Job teacher, more so since he would get a whole story-line dedicated to himself. Not sure if his hammer might be considered too close to MRD/WAR axes, but its a start.

Gauis/Regulus style could also work, giving a new sword class that might not neccesarily be a tank and being downright cool as well, but how exactly we would learn THAT style is much trickier. Possibly a Legatus who goes rogue in 4.X, and in 5.0 we learn from him/her?

There are rumors that Yoshi-P is holding off a GunBlade Job release until we can finally enter Garlemald but those are just rumors.

If rumors are true then we can expect a Gunblade Job in 5.0 (assuming 5.0 is Garlemald since only way into Garlemald is through Ala Mhigo which the game has been strongly hinting Ala Mhigo for 4.0 since 2.0). if not then meh at least we get new Jobs either way.
